How to beat flashing blades?
Hello, I just registered so..
I have a friend who always 1v1's me at our guild hall, and we both use flashing blades at the same time and nothing happens for a while and I can get wild strike to work because I can't hit with a lead attack. My attributes and skills are:
Dagger Mastery:12+1+1
Shadow Arts:9+1
Critical Strikes:9+1
Build
Flashing Blades, Shadow Refuge, Death's Charge, Critical Defenses(Yeah thats what I ment sorry), Jagged Strike, Wild Strike, Reapeating Strike, Death Blossum.

a/w with wild blow would require no lead or use the unblockable enchantment chain the person before posted.

No PvE skills in 1v1's so I guess (hope) you mean Critical Defenses instead of Critical Agility.
The love for blockway is understandable... but don't try this in serious PvP. Your build is horrible
Anyways...
Wild Strike/Blow beats Flashing Blades, he'll still block through Critical Defenses though. It lasts for a short time if he doesn't get any hits in, so feel free to kite (run away) until it wears off and pwn him afterwards

You could go A/R and run Melandru's Shot, Cripshot or Pin Down and snare + kite. If he's not attacking Flashing Blades isn't blocking.

Whenever I 1v1 with a melee character I pump up my tactics to 16 and riposte the hell outta of the other guy.
The best Offense is a good defense.

Pacifism-For 8...18 seconds, target foe cannot attack. This effect ends if the target takes damage.
Kindof defeats the whole purpose now doesnt it? sure itll stop him from attacking but what good does it do if you cant attack him. and sure you could do the degen crap but whats the point of being a sin then?
And yeah pretty much just go 2ndary warrior and use wild blow is the best choice if you want to keep the chain you currently have otherwise just use golden fox

A novel idea... dont bother with FB urself, its not that great. Critical Defences is a far better blocking skill, due to not being elite.

As Itokaru says then an A/R bow wielder would be good. Crippling shot works if he use Critical defenses too.
And if you wish to keep using daggers then theres the Golden Fox strike > Wild Strike > Nine tales strike (belive thats the unblockable dual) which would be nice if he have other means to block than Flashing (tho ofc, if he only have flashing then just take some dual like Twisting fangs)

You could always go A/D and use Ebon Daggers/Scythe with Ebon Dust Aura, the blind will quickly prevent him from refreshing his enchantments like Critical Defenses. Combined with golden fox strike>wild strike>dual of choice it should be pretty effective against him.

I say take the piss by running a better elite such as EDA and take mirrored stance if he always uses flashing blades.

teh other alternative is a caster-sin deadly arts spike
1v1 is quite lame tho
defense wins all teh time (or causes 87min undecisive matches)

Couple ideas for you 1 v 1
[Mark of Insecurity] and use a different protection like [shroud of distress] don’t worry about the health bar unless you are close to the brink
[Blinding surge] or [throw dirt] [unseen fury]
[Conjure nightmare] right off the bat then if he shadows in or starts a chain [Vipers defense] and when he goes to heal hit him with [leech signet] keep the pressure on him at all times [Golden fox strike] [wild strike] [horns of the ox] [moebious strike] cast this before match [shroud of distress] no need for heal if you kill him... and if you need to heal he is winning. he may remove a condition but I doubt he will bring both hex and condition removal to a 1vs1
