Shadow Step PVE Builds
Hey guys,
Does anyone have any great shadow stepping in and return pve builds? I was sooo in love with the Outbreak Fever build until Anet just HAD to nerf shadow walk. Any other good recommendations?

I do believe Blades of Steel is bugged in the way that it works with any and all attack skills.

[Beguiling [email protected]] Can't go wrong, shadow step to a caster and render them useless for a few seconds. 20 recharge will save you an elite.
Take [Golden Lotus [email protected]] assuming you have [critical [email protected]] on. Or better yet [Sneak [email protected]] for those bosses. [Lotus [email protected]] to balance Hazes high energy cost. Last but not least [twisting [email protected]] for the finisher.

The problem i find with shadow steps is the aftercast is annoying, and there usually isnt room for an in and an out...

I generally found [Assassin's Promise] plus any shadow step to do the job just right, but that often forces me to sacrifice the elite slot for something else. But if you ask me, I never found Shadow Steps to be absolutely necessary for PvE play.

Pie's Shadowy Promise
I've just started playing my sin again, cos she die and now has 156 deaths bleh @ survivor title.
For use with H/H and tested in Normal Mode.
Anyway, I only have a hand full of skills bought for her and this is what I am currently using for PvE, have lots of fun with it, comments and suggestion to make it better are most welcome.
This build when use correctly will knock down, poison and degen your target. I made a slight change by taking out [[dancing daggers] and replacing it with [[enduring toxin] which is also a Hex and can be use with [[iron palm] to knock down target a second time when necessary.
how to use:
1) Pick your target, do not aggro more than one mob at a time. Remember this build is 1/8 of a team build for PvE, so make sure you call your target, if you don't put everyone on the target chances are you won't be able to kill the target, and you will have broken your promise!
2) Cast [[assassin's promise] on target
3) [[Death's Charge] to target immediately follow by [[Iron Palm], [[Entangling Asp] and [[Signet of Toxic Shock]
4) quickly finished target off with [[Dancing Daggers]
5) target dead.
Notes:
a) if you have manage to ball up the foes it is most likely some already suffer some health lost, so the next best target would be one with the lowest health.
b) must keep watch on your health bar, if you are going to die [[death's retreat] to a healer, always put monks at the very bottom, so this is what you do, hit the number 8 on your numeric key pad, immediately follow by 7 for activating [[death's retreat]
c) if your health is okay, and have already pick the next target repeat how to use from 2 onwards. retreat anytime you think your in trouble.
d) If not mistaken some of the skills are ranged, so you can use it after you did a [[death's retreat]
e) This is a build where you cannot look at the scenery and your character, you have to look at your health bar and your target's because you don't want the chain broken, if you do not kill your target under 13 seconds. But so far its work wonders for me. if you follow everything I say above.
f) When find yourself [[Death's Charge] into traps, (Usually Rangers, am fah marksman in particular likes to lay traps) quickly [[death's retreat], or never [[death's charge] them lol hahaha.
e) if your are depending on [[death's charge] to heal in between enemy, pick one with more health, if you plan to recharge your skill, pick one thats about to die. just a reminder.
PS:
my equipment are 505 health max armor 35 energy and a crappy daggers (The Falaharn's). Would be good if I have a Lengthen poison duration's dagger.
Anyway, enjoy and feedbacks are welcome.

*made a little change [[enduring toxin] looks to works good if not better then dancing daggers.
**Heros won't use this :\ lol they waits for foes to get hex and use [[iron palm] on them, hillarious. .. and grrrrrr

^-- That. Cover Hex = good mkay.
Also: [dancing daggers][entangling asp][signet of toxic shock][augury of death]
Veering off from this combo requires some serious justification. [dancing daggers] is much stronger overall than [iron palm], and [enduring toxin] is just plain bad.
Also, going heavy Shadow on a caster sin just begs for [dark escape]. That said, I wouldn't bother with Shadow at all tbh.

I r come up with another sin build,
[build=pie's ass;OwBk0pe7XMq0CEujEjx3/Dx3V4cG]
some time you don't really need to use retreat, this one has less heal thou, still hasn't unlock very many skills.
use it to do the 2 Wintersday quests without any problems
Tested it on heros, althought they don't die and kill swiftly, they cannot understand the first 3 skills is suppose to be chain together resulting in 2x knockdown, or I'm using the skill in a different way, putting a big bet by casting Assassin Promise first instead of when the foes is about to die, which is how the heros are using them. heros also are very reluctant to use Death's Charge.

WTF is that?
You have two offhands and only one dual that recharges in 8 seconds?
And YMLaD > Iron Palm
[Assassin's Promise][Shadow Fang]["You Move Like a Dwarf!"][Falling Lotus Strike][Trampling Ox][Falling Spider][Blades of Steel][Critical Agility]

its a good fun build for normal mode area that can kill most enemies within 12 seconds don't assume the obvious, test it.
easy to use, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 if necessary use 8, most probably don't need to, my number 8 slots is a res.
with h/h, called target, or they will be lazy and start dancing.

Because AI uses it as a heal primarily. put in a more offensive shadow step instead.
Also your chain is flawed because if you go in order, your target will just be getting up from KD when you hit with leaping mantis, thus will not be crippled, thus will not trigger trampling ox's KD.
YMLAD! is better as a player, but on a hero it's going to fail anyway because, you know, they're heroes.
Marv's build is much better, and you should leave sin heroes in the list to collect dust until Anet codes them to actually chain attacks properly.

A11Eur0, YMLAD is not usable by heros ler... plus the build I use is tested, not something that i just write here, and when both the assassin is on the same target I call, they really have no chance of returning any dmg. the profession i play is hex heavy. so it does not matter if they use the skill from 1-2-3-4 or not, iron palm is always usable, foes stays down.
PS: NM only
