A/N Norn Tournament
Hi everyone!
I'm trying to beat the Norn Tournament, and nothing seems to work for me. I'll post my latest build I've been trying:
[Golden Phoenix Strike][Disrupting Stab][Moebius Strike][Death Blossom][Shadow Refuge][Critical Eye][Way of Perfection][Critical Defenses]
10 + 2 Dagger
7 Shadow Arts
11 + 1 Critical
I usuallly don't make it far with this, and Lukas and Norgu are particularly tough. And when I do get to the end and fight Magni, he does so much damage at once that I just don't stand a chance. If anyone could help me out with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

The reason you aren't able to beat the tournament is because you aren't abusing PvE skills. I would recommend ["you move like a dwarf"] at the very least. Instant interrupt plus kd and snare also, this skill is nearly enough to take out magni by itself, backed with a bit of ranged damage. Its also basically instawin against other melee opponents.
[Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support] is also insanely powerful against single opponents, especially coupled with the above. Wait for the foe to begin getting up from YMLaD's kd and hit him with this. It'll put him back on his ass for another 2 seconds, plus deal some hefty damage. In addition he might soak up an empathy or similar from one of the hexers.
Basically, bring a blind and a ranged interrupt and you will go a long way in the Norn Tourney. Knockdown chains are a very effective way of winning each match in a few seconds, as is spirit spamming. The only actual difficult opponent in there should be Palawa.
Oh, and bring an enchant strip or some prot ignoring damage (lifesteal) in case you come up against mhenlo and/or alesia. [Rend enchantments] is generally a good choice, you shouldn't be taking enough damage for it to seriously hurt you.

why /necro?
[glyph of swift][deadly para][shadow form][you move lik][brawling headbut][falling lotus][horns of the ox][shadow refuge]
perma knock-lock and near immunity to almost everyone except the great zehtuka, cynn and argo i believe. use the pve skills when deadly disables your attack skills and you should be fine. this build takes a little while sometimes but it's nearly fool-proof.

once you get past the first part, with Magni just use YMLaD, alot.. it will eventually kill him. If you want I guess you could go /mo and maybe add in some smiting skills to make it go a little faster

Consider BlackSephir's build.
For those of you who can't see the vid:
[beguiling haze][sneak attack][wild strike][horns of the ox][falling spider][twisting fangs][critical agility][assassin's remedy]

For something completely different...
[Lyssa's Aura][Dancing Daggers][Crippling Dagger][Entangling Asp][Deadly Paradox][Signet of Toxic Shock][Drain Enchantment][Ether Feast]
Last two can be replaced with something else, I like being able to remove HH or Mhenlo's enchantments, and the safety valve of a heal. Only Danika gives this build any trouble, might be able to adjust it to handler her. If a melee guy gets too close to cripple, you can KD with asp to get enough room to start crippling again.
Also most people stumbling around the norn tourney probably aren't very far into the game, and are lacking in PvE skills. They can make your builds more efficient if you'd rather wait till later, but they aren't needed.
