Agree 100% with Marty, many people claim the only viable way to play assassin in PvE is using Shadow Form which I consider stupid, because assassin is one of the professions that deal high-ignoring damage in the game in if people that play assassin don't know that they seriously need to delete their assassins char.

I am starting to seriously think that Dark Paladin is a talented troll. The original farming-is-impossible thread was funny, the other few posts were funny too. But now it's been a while.
And on a side-note, I'm impressed there are people making youtube videos on the art of crit-scythe.

LOL so I'm not the only one who think that about Dark Paladin? , yeah tell me about it and what about the thread: "Ooze Pit HM impossible with heroes" claiming that if discordway can't beat it nothing can (lulz at that statement), anyway like I said before assassins is one of the best damage dealers in the game and an example of that is the crit-scythe following moebius spammer and dagger spam.

Seriously, go take a look at 6 minute clears of Catacombs of Kathandrax, using only assassins. Or Shard of Orr. Also, take a smite hero, let him cast Strength of Honor on you, spam Jagged Strike, Fox Fangs and Death Blossom coupled with Critical Agility and Save Yourselves and report back.

Yah when we set the record in Kath it was due to the SF nerf. Now when SF gets stripped you don't go down to 50 hp. Just keep shroud+IaU! and stand together and pretty much all dmg is gone.

The SF nerf was probably the first time I was proud of an Anet nerf as it was one of the few times where they didn't just kill off a skill entirely.

I still only like sins only in perfectly organized environments like a guild run or a fast clearing group. I would only use sins if the entire group is organized enough with buffs, prots, aggro that the sins can blows things up without the mob even responding (under 5 seconds).
For everything else, I still avoid sins at all costs. (other than SF tanks) Pug monks are too unreliable when it comes to putting up prot spirit at the right time....already went through way too many "strip crit agi, spike, death" scenarios. (I was not the sin or monk)

I agree with that, too. Sin was out of 'meta' for so long, so I can't really be mad at them being one of the best classes now. I just wish it was because of something other than SF.
Because, you know, the main idea of sin was that they could deal dmg but not tank, so why are they tanking now?

To my knowledge ninjas were masters at blocking blows, DBZ style. Makes more sense for a ninja to tank than a slow ass warrior in heavy armor. Ironically, the warrior is more suited for just charging in and dealing damage from a lore perspective, while ninjas are usually depicted as masters at hand to hand combat. Heck, in real life, most of the things you learn in Ninjutsu are how to counter blows. But a warrior? All they know is how to slice a guy's head off with a big sword.
Furthermore, in fantasy depictions, ninjas are usually shown as being able to multiply themselves and create illusions for enemies to miss. So I don't see why shadowform was farfetched from a lore perspective. And for PvE, it's still a pretty damn good skill!

It makes sense... if it was very prohibitive to use, or not maintainable like the original, or if it didn't give nearly complete invincibility. Otherwise, teh sin is used like a tank, so people see it as a tank. The skill makes sense, but the use doesn't make: Do you see a fantasy ninja holding an endless horde of demons from the nine hells and staying alive just stansing there? I don't. At best I see him jumping around and evading like crazy (shadow stepping). Not taking all teh blows.
