I bought Factions years ago, just started playing again a few days back. I only have Factions, so I'm limited for areas to go to, items, skills, etc. Anyway the only thing I have ever played is assassin, so I'm trying to get a good build going. My main character is a level 20 A/Mo, picked Mo because of some old outdated build I saw on some wiki.

Anyway does anyone have information about creating builds inside of a single campaign? PvX is designed across all campaigns, and I'm not planning on buying anything other then GW2. I have a pretty good thing going right now, took a few pointers from the newer PvX site and made something simple.

All help appreciated!

I would at least get eotn for HoM.

Jagged strike > Fox fangs > Death blossom & then w/e you want will be optimal.

Yeah I've been using those three ever since I got back.

I might get EOTN if I find it cheap.

Unfortunately, you'd be hard pressed to find anything more efficient than that. Other builds have been proposed but people have shown them to be mathematically inferior in terms of pure DPS. Now, if you're looking for something to break the monotony, that's different, but Sins really need an overhaul to make them more versatile(please God only in PvE, let's not have "Dervs Ruin PvP" 2.0)

I think that changing FF and DB to their PvP versions would be a good place to start with skill balance for PvE assassins.

If you want to try another style of builds, use AP builds with just about any chain that works for you.

Gwpvx does have at bottom links for builds specific to one campaign or it used to have - not used it for ages but worth checking anyway

Your really gimping yourself without access to Critical Agility, it's that good.

Not really, GW2 Is coming out and it seems like a waste buy any older GW.

Guild Wars 2 isn't Guild Wars, so I don't see how it could be a waste of money. You'll get all sorts of quests, professions, experiences, and more of stuff.

Pretty subjective and ignoring the issue.(Edit:GW2 is coming out......in a loooonnnnggggg time)

Any copy of the original installments is pretty cheap right now.If I was in your shoes and wanted to give GW time as an Assassin Nightfall purchase is inexpensive and totally justified, if not a prerequisite, for that one skill alone.

Critical Agility changed the whole game for Sins in PvE and you'll struggle to find a decent PvE bar without it.

Not only that but you get heroes which mean everything in the current stale PvE meta which revolves around farming, HoM and titles.

Unless you enjoy pugging and inflicted "lol me go boom you = dead" that is. Seriously....I'd do it if I was you.
