Old player returning, Rit, Ele, or Monk?
Hey everyone,
I recently started playing Guild Wars in my spare time after quite some time being away from it. I have a full thing of characters, but my monk, rit, and ele never really got a lot of play time so I was planning on choosing one of them and going through the games and doing all the various things on it. I want to choose one though to focus on and really get a lot done. My question is, of these three classes, which is best suited for speed clears and making money in general? I'm not sure how much builds and things have changed since I've been gone. So can someone please tell me which speed clears each of these characters can do with todays team builds and also any other way they might have of making money effectively? Also, do people still do DOA speed clears? I never did those but I really wanted to get into that, if so which of the three classes can participate in them? Any and all info is appreciated, thanks!

rit.
sos build is what loads of people are using now to farm (me included).
I use my ele for lower level farming, and my monk, not at all.
doa..rit again--dwg? I know was being used for a long time (havent done doa in about 2 years but it was still popular then).

Only monk can participate in doa speedclears (seeder).
Is supereasy once u know what and when to do what.
First you will find it hard, after u done it lots of times u can pretty much do it in your sleep.

Both Monk and Rit can be used in Fowsc. If you're not Speedclearing, Rit is my choice for helping friends with quests/missions so I would progress that storyline, and rush places that monk can be used.

I would do both if you can and definitely monk for speed clears as Coast as said.I only did DOA HM once with guilded group and it was hard. You might find getting through some of the Faction mission harder with your Rit as mine is stuck at Enternal Grove.

High level speed clearing in FoW is done using 5 dervishes and an optional 3 assassins, with no rit or monk.
Ele is used in UWsc as the e/mo bonder. Rit is used too as one of the spike/block team for the escort quest with the other spiker (necro). No monks in UWsc. Assassins are needed too.
Like Coast says, monks are used in DoA. Rits? Mesmers and necros too I think? Not sure about that, I never did DoAsc.
But you will have to devote many hours to getting the character ready. They all need skills and particular reputation ranks from the end of the three Nightfall storylines, so prepare for a long grind.
But speedclearing isn't part of the storyline, just a way to earn money. Rits can solo farm most places in Nm and many places in Hm, but my god it's boring.

General farming on any character will never earn you much money. The only way to make a lot of cash is to speedclear one of the aforementioned elite areas.

The easiest way to get in to DOASC is with a mes. DOA standard tactics use 2 assa, 4 mes, monk, ele. Advanced tactics switch out the monk for another med, but that's just record runs really.
Pug FOWSC groups still usually take a monk.
UWSC groups take a rit and usually a mes spiker.
If you just wanna play the game, rit is a good choice. Lots of different playstyles - SOS, ST, splinter barrage, resto healer. If you're serious about trying DOASC though, you'll want to make a mes.

Just saw this, not entirely sure what it means. Rit is the easiest profession to do Eternal Grove with. Here's how I did it with Rit secondary, HM Masters with heroes, a couple of days ago when it was ZM.
