Default r7 inscribable Value?

Soo...

This isn't really a PC although it could be I suppose.

Anyways awhile back me and Firefighter Fred were talking about the value of a req 7 max inscribable item.

And we came to the conclusion that it would be worth bascially an amount of ectos I had ever imagined owning (cause lets face it I'm poor)

But then while reading the thread here about whether uninsc items should be considered Oldschool. And I relised ya know most collectors don't like inscribable items and really collectors would be the ones willing to fork over big bucks for a r7 item unless it was for the purpose of turning for a profit of course.

So...I was thinking. Would it really be worth a ton?

I mean yeah it would be as far as I know a one of a kind item. And r7. But, would this whole concept of inscribable having a bad name make collectors dis-interested in it and thus lower the cost below that of a r7 sword with a decent inherent?

Also, what would be the implications on the current market. Would it even change it at all. I mean it would prove that r7 inscribable items can drop. But in the 3+ years (yeah i can't remember when nf came out) since inscriptions have been released theres only been one discovered so there might not be any effect on the current market because the drop rate is so low its irrelevent?

Sorry if this makes no sense basically:

1)what would the value of a r7 inscribable item be approximately and what factors would influence that price in what way.

2) what effect would the discovery of a r7 inscribable item have on the market if any.

Well im sure there would be ppl paying for such, and there are collectors after r8 insc swords so why not r7? In my personal exprience id Buy it, merch it and Laugh like mad and wouldnt say anyone a thing about it

But overall. guess it depends what type of r7 item it would be. im sure max r7 insc shield would go for ton..

Wouldnt think it having much effect on market overall, maybe few more ppl would try hunt r7s but dont think theyd drop that often even If they were possible.

Well first off most weapons dont exist max dmg inscribable in req 8 even. Req 7 isnt even worth thinking or "dreaming" about.

r8 weapons/shields/foci etc still drop and are probably more common than some rare skins
r7 is rarer but also still drops iirc

to say they aren't worth thinking about is kinda hypocritical, might as well forget about VS, portal staff..

Please let us in on your secret spot where these max damage req 7s drop or even some max req 8 weapons, all I have seen are shields/foci.

I'm sure Luny would welcome the info to add to the research he has been doing.

Oooh, I totally would welcome that! But please be careful about giving me sole credit for that thread! I did not start that thread (sneaky mod hax recently gave me owner rights to edit the OP after the original poster, Ariena Najea, agreed to let me take over.) I did not start the old q/a thread which inspired that one, either. And I am certainly not doing that research on my own - lots of folks are helping by posting things they find which set new records!

Cheers!

It would go for a fair few ecto's, but it'd be one of those items that is just passed around every few months.
