Default Difference of vs skeleton & vs undead

Greetings.

I've seen some people ask about grips vs skeletons, and there are some grips vs undead, that for what i understand, also takes skeletons in his family.

Don't see the difference between those grips, what's better to sell/buy for a higher price and why?

Regards.

Skeletons are a subset of the Undead family so I'd say that +vs undead mods will fetch a higher price.

It's one of those little things that went wrong when Anet implemented this game^^ Basically, vsUndead covers everything, and Skeletons only the skeletons, hence you're better of with an Undead grip/shield

Ok , thanks! Then i guess an undead grip should have more value than a skeleton grip.

not really. undeadslaying e.g. drops quite frequently at raptor nestolings. With many people farming them there are too many, thus they are very cheap (500g/ea). Skeletonslaying in contrary is rarer which results in a higher collectors price (1-5k depending on wep and buyer/seller). On Shields somehow it is the same: vs skeleton armour bonuses are rarer than vs undead. Here the prices are around the same, even tho skeleton is slightly more valueable. Still what the others say is for sure true: skeletons are undead and thus are affected by both mods. Still there are foes that are affected by the undeadmod but not by the skeleton mod.

Souns little stupid to "cheap" a mod more powerfull than other, but i guess, as you say, that it is for his "rarety".

Ok, thanks for the feedback you all.

I agree it's stupid...just like inheirent +10 vs sheilds...they dont stack over 25 like inscriptions +10 vs. So in turn the inheirent is weaker...yet more expensive...pretty dumb if u ask me

I think that most people that use those shields for perma tanking won't mind much, since they only get 8AL from the shield by not meeting the req... X)

But yeah I guess if you use those shields on a warrior or a any/W hich meet the shield's req, go for an insc shield for +1 AL (unless you want a shield that can't be reproduced as an insc shield)

EDIT: Scratch what I said, oldschool shields/greens w/ +10vs dont fit with any builds that uses any skill that gives more then 15 extra armor, there ya go.
