On my quest to find perfect unincriptable Wooden and Stone Chakrams
i've realised i've never seen a nice req.8 one...
Since they seem to drop mostly in Ascalon area
i really wonder if there ever were req.8 max+gold ones
Of course , now with HM , some may have popped.(req.9+)
But even in that case , i think they are really rare to come by.
In req.8 format - if they exist - i'd consider them to be GW's rarest offhands overall.
After a lot of farming myself i've only got a purple Stone one(it was in HM of course)
and having id'ed countless of Tyrian mesmer offhands,
i've also realised i never id'ed a Wooden/Stone Chakram ( talking about bought unids obviously)
despite the fact that i've id'ed a lot of Inscribed/Jeweled ones(their common counterparts).

So , i'm starting this thread trying to figure :

a. How rare are they after all?

b. Has anyone got a req.8 one ? Pics would be awesome , as always ;p

c. Post your uninscript dualmodded ones , will be nice to see such
beauties.

d. Rarest offhand belonging to mesmers after all ? How much more can you
adore this profession? xD

hardmode chest running at ascalon would be your best bet to finding one or several

I had never paid much attention to those skins until some months ago when I already was extremly inactive. I don't know what exactly draw my attention on it - maybe realising that those skins were still missing in Eir's req8 off-hand collection. However I did some simple search on guru and german forums and wasn't able to find any oldschool purple or gold stone/wooden chakrams. Therefore believing those would not even exist.

However Licensed Luny came up with a screen of one of those skins gold or purple dropping for her. I don't have the image anymore though, I'm sorry. Think it might have been on my old computer that's now dead.... at least it dropped in one of the Shiverpeak Mission's - I remember which one it was, but don't remember the name... I'll check wiki and tell you later, if you want to know. However according to her it was single mod crap. And I was too lazy/inactive/not interested enough for any deeper research on those chakram skins. Still alone the fact that I couldn't find any with the help of forum search (maybe I just failed....) implies that they are a very rare if not the rarest of all off hand skins.

Yeah , according to wiki , Licensed Luny got a wooden from a Stone Summit Sage in Frost Gate mission HM and a stone one from a shatter gargoyle.
I can also confirm Stone one dropping from Shatter Gargoyles.
Got one purple bad singlemod myself , but can't find the screen -.-

I've got max white drops of both from Shatter gargoyles in HM too,
not that this can prove anything....
Anyway , i believe Shatter Gargoyles drop Stone ones (illusion mesmers)
and Storm Riders , Charr mesmers and Stone summit sages could possibly drop Wooden ones (dom mesmers) .
That's a theory ofc , needs to be proven.

Now , if you have a gold one plz post it!

start from nolani academy to diessa lowlands
you don't even need shroud~taking 0 dmgs w/ blessed insignias from gargoyles

Droprate is frustratingly low.
It's only worth it if u rly rly want one of these offhands.

Hehe, yes, ive had 3 in like 30 runs,all bad singlemods

if this is true he had ALOT of luck to even get these crappy ones. I've been farming for 3 days and havent got a single one. They are super rare, even the crappy ones.
