Default Dual reduction moded shield?

Allright just came back to GW after a while and had a few questions about a few of my items.

Can anyone explain why shields like this one are so expensive? I can't really seem to find a legit fuction to have a shield like this. I remember back when I played that they may have had some use for a forge runner but right now having been back for a bit I can't seem to figure out why anyone would want this.

Also does the original henge of denravi sword have any value today?

I tried searching for the anwser but all I found were sell threads and nothing explaining why they are so expensive other than they are no longer in the game.

1. They have value because Dual reduction shields don't drop anymore. It's the same reason people buy up q7 items and prenerf staffs - the only way to get them is by trading.

2. Yes, HoD sword (and I may be mistaken on this) is about.. 150k last I checked? Could be more or less on that, that's just an estimate and I'm nowhere near an expert.

Reason for the high price........nostalgia. Back in the day, this baby was the only way you could get a +5e sword. It was a 55's best friend

I debated that but I didn't want to get banned for asking for reasoning on why dual modded sheilds were so expensive. I wasn't sure if there was a build or something I was missing that had them in demand. My apologies if I made the wrong decision.

Anyways thank you all for the responses.

They're primarily expensive because you can't get shields with that kind of mods anymore. Which make them limited edition and a result of this is that there are more people who want them then people who have them.

If facing mixed physical damage (slash + blunt + piercing) they sometimes also provide the highest reduction. For instance when using Shadowform + Permanent Dark Escape.

HoD swords sell 40-50e yes, one was sold a few days ago for 50.
