Nightfall Items
Hey guys and gals,
I have had a couple of questions pop into my head recently regarding nightfall items. please if u can answer any of these help me out  I know q8 shields exists from nightfall, but that brings a thought into my head does anyone know or have proof that q8 spears or scythes exist in game? what is the max damage on a q0 scythe and spear? thanks in advance for info. chronic

I have never seen a max damage q8 insc spear or scythe of any color. My bet is that they don't exist.
Once NF was released, anet changed the drop template. This was the time when the big nerf hit most q8 drops. Before NF q8's dropped much more than after in the swords, hammers, shields, etc. Knowing this, I'm tempted to say with near 100% certainty that there will never be nor has there ever been a max q8 insc spear or scythe of any color. |

No q8 max spears/scythes exist that are known of. As Surge said. Drop tables changed significantly when NF launched. Chest drop rates of r8's went to 0 (I believe... 2000 chests says so at least) and loot drop rates of q8's went in the tank. Q7's outright stopped dropping at this point as well. Then there was the loot scaling as well... All sorts of stuff that just made q8's not something that came up too often, and I believe that they never coded in the possibility of a q8 max drop for scythes/spears. Just my opinion at least.

I did have a 8/16 gold shield drop from a chest, and I have had a few purple, max r8 foci/shield from post-NF chests (the gold shield may have even been in HM, but I would not swear to that).
