:P all those do drop at gargoyles HM - and at high enough unid value they possibly yield max and even q9 (Ball, 2xTribal [not 100%sure about the sword here], Sickle)
it is like that: skin drops at a mob in certain blue or white (purple or gold) -> it can drop at the entire dmg range in blue and white (purple and gold) that the mobs lvl enables for that rarity at that wep type - which is up to max dmg even for whites/blues at lvl 22 and 23 (gargoyles) e.g.

So if I got it right - the "best" nonisncr sickle that could drop would be:
- blue
- max damage
- 12%(^50/stance/ench)... or is 13% possible for blue?

right?
I kinda like the skin and would love to get one of those just... well cause I like the skin^^

quite sure 12% is max for blue (which is why ikkis q7 felly is the best possible)

yes and q9 or q8 for tribal blade respectively. The problem is the chances: at unid values of 55g+ you have best chance they are max dmg (white/blue) (even tho I also found max white axe as low as 53g, hammer at 52g and sword at 51g. But on axe e.g. 55g yields the entire range of a 5-24axe up to a max dmg one, so the chance is still bad. So you´d need to know the chance for those values to drop from the mob (which is low at lvl 23 and 22 gargoyles), the chance for the wep to be max dmg at said values (which is slim even at the ultra rare 57g+ values), then the chance for an item to drop blue (which is like 5%-10% of all items dropping), for any item to drop at all (which is roughly 5%-10% according to my observations at gargoyles - each run I kill ~45 mobs and get 1-10 items, on average ~3), for an item to have q9 at said values (which is pretty good - like 25%), for the skin to be the desired (which is super low at those rare skins) and then for the inherent mod to be 12^50 (which is max for blue and extremely rare). So multiply all these and get the ever so slim chance for the item. My guesses would be in super low range: in 3 years of intense gargoyle farming I had 3 max tribal axes drop there, 1 was q9 and none was blue, so better start farming now in order to get that drop before gw shuts down in 10years or w/e^^

Try farming the Dryders at the entrance to Iron Horse Mines if you leave from Ice Tooth Cave. Theres like 3 bosses there that are easy to kill so its good for elite tomes, and I have typically found that they drop Sickles quite frequently in HM.

Wasn't sure where else to ask, and this may also be a stupid question. But can melee weapons drop with inherent HSR 10% (Let The Memory Live Again)?

Nope.

Thats just for spellcaster sticks. And that inscription can't be applied to melee weapons either.

It can be applied to insc melee weapons. I have one in my inventory right now. But it doesn't drop inherent?

Ive seen many PvPrs use 10hct+20ench from sword example with shield that they need for ar since many find 10hct more useful then +5e, and cant get 20% ench from 1 hand wand if thats neccesery

agreed, especially Condition Necromancers that utilize the 10hct / HSR in combination with +33% Poison / Bleeding.

Or but also rarely seen with +33% Crippling /w the spell "Return".

So I’d actually like to revisit this, since it seems to have flown under the radar for the most part here, and because I think it warrants further discussion. We all know that pre-HM there were NO max damage Tyrian Sickles, that’s not in dispute (I hope). When HM came out speculation ran rampant about the possibility of MAX damage(6-28) ones dropping, Do they? Could they? Should they? In all of Guru, Wartower, or anywhere else has there been another posted. Am I wrong? No further discussion on that?

When it fell for me I was unsure, due to long absence from the game, if these were regular drops now, but when an old-timer like me sees a Sickle in Tyria… he looks twice, at least out of habit. That was about a month ago, and I hadn’t gotten around to asking about it. Given that even System, who asked about them, and subsequent posters each with exceptional game-item knowledge, still questioning its existence, then the dozen or so requests to sell I’ve gotten so far, the brief research I ran through Guru threads, and a few inquiries to those in-the-know, AND the unexpected source of the drop, I’m of the mind that this is in fact the first documented sighting of a Sasquatch.
Reliable pic or it didn’t happen, sorry. (maybe I don’t float as a reliable source either, in which case I’m more then ok with any requests for ig verification)

If anyone’s interested in where it came from, I’ll hold off on revealing that. I’ll let you guess if you want and I will acknowledge a correct guess(be specific). I will tell you it did not come from any of the traditional sources of Sickles, it’s not any kind of bugged Mausoleum thing, and it is from the continent of Tyria.

about the tyrian sickles, they do drop in chos estate mission hm (alongside canthan sickles lol).
im relatively sure ive gotten some close to max dmg ones in secret lair of snowmen (hm) too.

The farm I posted drops them frequently, however I believe I am one of very few to ever consider farming those mobs xD I had frequent max sickles in HM but since they where all white I just merched them. I am surprised you had such offers to sell on a white one!

The things I want to discover and understand are things like the gold pre Mausoleum Tribal Axe that Chop Chop The Panda used to own. Like where the hell did something like that drop? There must be some source for these weapons that we all claim is impossible to drop max gold?

Im going to do some investigating into farms like the one I posted on more rigorous terms and try to find something special xD

edit: I guess this is the only known r8 then. If this is nothing unique please let me know. There is pretty much no data on old guru threads I could find.
