I had bought a req8 str inscriptable Gloom Shield from Lady S Shiva in 2007 - for something in the 150-200e area btw. Gave it away as a present to Eir Of Asgard in 2009 when I more or less quit GW. He still has it I think.

I know that purples with dual vamp (and therefore I would also assume dual energy) COULD drop at some point. I cant tell you when or where, but they did exist at one point as I have a purple dual vamp in my possession. It is an r2 6-13 double bladed axe with 11/-1 dual vamp as the inherent. I can provide screens of it if necessary.

Yeah, I also just picked up the 11%/-5 crys that was recently for sale.

I'm wondering if Pleikki was questioning the existence of 14% in conjunction with one of these mods...maybe not, though.

Don't take it as a fact but if memory serves me right 14% was not possible on purples in the days when xx%/-negative mods were. And it's impossible to tell if one of the short periods of weird drops made that combination possible, until an example is found (probably never).

Honestly its been so long probably just memory lapse. I agree there was a few strange points with drops.

Well, they can drop from Zchest, and I'm pretty sure any dungeon chest, so yeh, not too uncommon I think.

I had a pair of 7-16's drop when factions launched. At the time I thought 7-17 was possible but I have yet to see any and I know Eric looked for a set for a while. The answer is likely no on this one.

Until I see a q8 +5e fellblade in game, I don't believe one to exist. Just because screenshots are posted doesn't prove anything.

Also, going through the "Post Your Awesome Weapons" thread, i found a non-max 11-15 R9 Colossal Scimmy. I would be greatly in debt if someone could tell me where this drop is possible. Im sure a R8 could generate where this dropped.

Don't think it's possible. To the best of my knowledge, the max r8 insc golds come from drops and locked chests. You can only get an insc gothic from an end chest or z-chest, and I'm quite sure no r8s have been confirmed to drop from these.
