Well imo doing that run in nm wud be better.. as u cant rly get anything else worthwhile there then the slight change of possibility for the swamp.. the drop rate for such drop is same in Hm and nm. Only difference being more purples then golds in nm..

Overall first should ran nm until even purple drop to get proof. then possibly HM for better change get golds

This is true.. I'll be pushing my assassin there, because I hate running stuff on my ele, because her damage is so weak.. Well, I would actually still prefer HM for the chances of getting Magma's Shields.. But I'll see how it goes, if the NM/HM difference is too high I would do NM, but if it's neglectible, I'd do HM^^

Yea that is what I am doing currently I've seen in long ago with my own eyes so it was at least once possible. The thing is even if we had 10 people running some of these spots I don't know if it would be enough data collection to even have much of a chance at getting one.

Yeh but magmas shields only drop from from chests on the lava :P so no luck for them there!

Funny thing about drop chances: let's say they still exist, and we run them, but the drop rate is pretty low, we might as well get one spot on, just as we might not get one in 5 years of farming.

Now onto the next strange creature in the search for ancient drop tables that were possibly not updated.

The quest is in old Ascalon and it is called "Death in the Ruins". It spawns some very interesting undead creatures and after about 20 runs their drop table is most certainly undead and golds do drop but the strange thing is I have yet to get a decayed orr emblem from them which is a good thing.

The lack of the decayed orr emblem leads me to believe they maybe stuck on some outdated drop table that wasn't adjusted since it is part of an obscure quest.

I still have another place yet that may be a source for low dmg crystallines,dwarvens, and serpents but they would be purple only. It is a quest I found out about that isn't really documented on the wikis but it has keyless chests still. I will save that for another post after I do some runs.

There's a similar quest in the Northern Shiverpeaks that Da Tru Legend and I were screwing around with. Nothing really came of it, but there were unlocked unlocked chests as rewards

Yea I think these chests are in the same boat as the shiverpeak deserters quest but at least for these you don't have to kill anything to get drops from the chests. I doubt anything good can actually come but maybe a low dmg purple serpent,dwarven, and maybe a crystalline with a lot of runs for novelty factor.

I don't expect anyone to get rich from these but its fun to run some old school drop tables even if it is low damage.

I think if you actually want old schools best bet is kilroy running which can be done in about 5 minutes for all 3 chests if you SF run yourself and use a wtf dmg mesmer/necro spike.

I think the best bet are my 2 previous spots.

The quest Charr Reinforcements outside of piken square.

Borrowing thread; We all know that shield with +1 atb (20%) exists, but does those shield exist with +1 rit atbs? (resto, chan ect) - im thinking not, but not rly sure.

I have never come across a shield with +1 ritualist attributes so no I don't think they can exist as I've never even seen one for sale.

A shield doesn't need to be utile to be wanted. The mods are no longer available and the shields are super rare. People want them for their collections..

at other place it says 5/11-20%, in unofficial wiki -5/10-20%...
But maybe the inscription drops difrent than the inherent?

No, if -1/ench and stance drop, then -3/xx% must drop as well. And -3/10 might be one of them
