Ok, so a few hours ago I was in UW NM (inherent source area) with some friends, and a Grasping Darkness dropped me a 15-22 r8 Fiery Dragon Sword with no damage mod.

I noticed the r8 as I was picking it up and didn't get a screenshot of it on the ground, "assigned to" me.

I did however quickly swear about it in team chat and took a picture of my inventory right after I picked it up.

You have my word that I did not already have that sword around and brought it along just to stage the shot (although I realized when blacking out the IGNs in that screenshot that I should've also had my equipment pack open to show there was no second FDS lurking in there - sorry.)

So there's the inherent source area r8 15-22 post NF drop. Given that we already know r8 15-22 inscribable swords can drop and we suspect there's no difference in the max possible and were just waiting for a postNF pic of an inherent-area drop, I hope this is sufficient proof.

WARNING - that's a pretty big image file.
You can see in the chat log where the grasping dropped it, where I picked it up, and then where I was kicking myself for it. You can see in the party window that we have a Paragon and heroes on the team. You can see in my inventory there are also post NF items like lockpicks, merch stones, and a black moa chick. My skill bar also has several NF/EotN skills. So at least you can be sure I took the screenshot post NF.

And before anyone makes a comment about the bar I was running ... a) I already know I'm a noob, and b) after trying it, I don't like how it works in there at all.

EDIT - @Bright - but if I blacked it out you wouldn't see the NF and EotN skills. And it's a shame to waste any legit opportunity to debunk any mistaken rumors about me being "pro." Amazingly enough, some people on the internet are still under the impression I know what I'm doing!

If you ask me, most of the q8 max swords drop in the high-end areas.. (DoA got me one, and millions of 15-21 ones..) So if you're looking for q8 max dmg gold swords, I'd say Urgoz and the Deep are the place to be...

Oh and dude, that bar is indeed pretty awful xD You could've at least blacked it out xD

I'd like to be the one lol, but that aside, I don't think it would, of course Anet keeps saying that every weapon can still drop in q8 max, but we all know that's a load of bullcrap with a cherry on it.. The cherry being swords, shields and foci..

And Pleikki, I watch EVERY SINGLE drop that I, or anyone else gets when doing DoA, the reason why I get so many q7/15 shields lol, noone watches their drops, and I'm all too happy to jew em after the run, but I've never seen a q8 11-22 staff, white, blue or purple.. i've seen many q8 11-21.. Just as I've seen shittons of q8 15-21 swords, and a couple q8 15-22 (once got a q8 15-22 FDS but it was uniscr, you should've heard me cursing -.-) And the amount of runs I do, plus the amount of drops that drop there, imo, something should've already popped up..
