Oh well, I rarely bother with screenshoting what I believe to be common drops (have seen a bunch of those and I think req.8 bow can drop a 1 point higher, either 14-28 or 15-27 but it will be far more rare), but happened to get this today

posting because screenshots are important here.

I also see the OP has very low stats for req.7 sword. I have reported a 14-20 req.7 back on the first page, if the info is not enough, I have recorded more: It was a gold drop from a level 17 mob in Prophecies, merch value 26g while still unident (stats after id not recorded but unimportant). Dropped this year.

Thanks! When I was first trying to sort through this and get a list compiled in a reply (before they used mod-power-magic to make me the OP,) there were quite a few posts where I simply couldn't be sure if people were claiming pre/post NF drops and/or inherent or inscription. I just left those out, hoping once we had more details in the compiled list folks would help us out by including such specifics. So there are probably still some claims or pics from the first couple pages of this thread which I've never listed for lack of knowing quite where to list them.

I know you're sure there's no difference between inherent and inscribable stuff. It's not that I don't believe you - not at all! I simply don't see the reason to miss this opportunity to prove the theory with screenshots, that's all.

So, thanks to everyone for the reports!!! (especially thanks to Yawg ... as I can tell the way I'm doing this and my stress of screenshots bugs you at least a little bit. I'm glad it's not so annoying that you refuse to contribute!)

seems I didn´t post max req0 hammer yet, so I´ll do that now! Also added some other req0 screens. (hammer dropped ~5months ago in northlands, bow ~3months ago same place, sword 2 weeks ago same place, purple bow bought from online player)

can confirm all still droppable post-nerf, except from bow and staff: bow my max is 9-13, staff/wand: 7-11

I just got some no req 4-7 daggers while farming for Nick, so we can add them to the "Inherent Sources" section. 14 vs hexed woot! The pictures are the same daggers. I just did before/after identifying for fun.

And for those who are curious, they came from a chest. Retained that lockpick too (good thing).

Some drops from Nov. 12, 2010, two while farming copper coins for Nick and one while completing zBounty from the other day.

(It dropped in Kourna from one of those plant paragon things.)

r0 inherent wand 7-11
r0 inherent focus +6
(I think both those came from Shing Jea Chests rather than foes, but I'm not postive. gogo easy lucky points!)

I also got an r8 14-27 bow in NM Stygian Veil the other day which actually has an inscription slot, so that picture is here now, too.

I think I've mentioned it before but will repeat: The 40g chests (Ascalon, Shing Jea, Istan) are by far the BEST source for highest no req items.

So if someone's going for the Lucky title, watch the drops, we need especially:
*Hammer (the PreSearing list has MANY errors, for example 8-12wand/staff can't have no req, and I remember reading about better Hammers found in Pre, but long ago and didn't save screenshots)
*Daggers (I expect a 4-8 might be possible, not sure though)
*Scythe (guesstimating a 6-19 or even 6-20 might be possible)

Ok, first, I found an r8 14-26 Spear and took a picture.

Second, I've been wondering about staffs. Does anyone know if purple or blue staffs dropped as loot (not counting collector/crafter versions) can have max 20/10/11-22 stats? It seems like all the purple and blue r9+ staffs I get these days are always well below max base stats. Other gear's max stats don't seem to be affected by text color, but I'm wondering if staffs are a different case. (Yawg must know. Hopefully, he'll tell us.)

EDIT - Thanks very much to fallenangel for the pic of an inscribable max purple staff and to Yawgmoth for the pic of an inherent max purple staff and the info on the max cap for blues and whites! Those answer my question perfectly, thank you!

Thank you Red! Good catch! I have updated the OP accordingly. (The non-English screenshots are proving to be especially easy for me to misread. But I can still mess up with English shots, too!)

Yes, they can. Here's a screen of one I got today:

I think it's safe to say that you won't find it in a req 8 or lower, but req 9 upwards, definitely possible, at least for inscribable ones.
