I think its wonderful. I'm the same way, when someone in my guild is having a problem, I'm more then willing to spend some time talking with them.

some people are friendless.or just need sometime to cry over someone shoulder for go better or feel better by letting something out.it's like a therapy online but cost you less than a psy.

I do it because I would've liked the same thing when I was in the same situation. I've found that people willing to just sit and listen to someone are very rare, and I wanted to share it with those who need/want it.

Some people don't have friends they feel they can share their problems with,- sometimes talking to a perfect stanger might seem easier and less complicated than admitting "weakness" in front of people you have a past-present-future with.

I was a bartender for 3 years in a pub,- so i have seen how much it can help!

This is an awesome idea, i know people in gw get pissed or go through hard times and crap so this is an excellent way of helping them get back to the way they were.

bad typing possible below;

I,m not suggesting its the best idea (good idea), but sharing personal life/problems seems mostly harmless (unless giving address specifics) because no matter if u say your country, the chances of meeting the same person in real life are almost nil. So why not mention real life/certain problems if people can understand them or be interested in making gw friends?

Agreed that certain problems (suicide, partners, free sex) are not solvable in guildwars but not blocking your emotions (sad, depressed, upset) seems more healthy than being angry in gw.

To be honest chatting to, someone on guild wars seems no different, than going on chat rooms and saying same stuff (minus gamplay option).

I once tried chatting to a semi suicidal partner hunter. on gw for about 10 minutes and think I helped because I showed. them worse or similar problems. without embarrassment due to anonymous status.

gw is cheaper than booze or drugs for chat about most things so whats wrong with chatting 2 ppl you know without seeing them ever.

I think this is a great thing your doing here for people Nkah. Sometimes things happening in life are hard on some people, and they need someone to talk to, but maybe they can't afford therapy, or help, or their friends can't help them. I often end up helping my friend with his problems like drugs and his parents.

You might want to talk to dsielschott, sounds like he needs it to. And also to dsiel, just because someone is willing to help, doesn't mean you should be coldhearted to them and ignore them, waiting for them to do something stupid.
