Hey Alvin, what do you want for Christmas this year?
Ohh... All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth, my 2 front teeth, oh my 2 front teeth!
But in all seriousness, I am not looking to "get" any Guild Wars presents as I am fairly well off, but I could always give that naked necro of mine ive deen DIEING to play a nice set of Asuran armour, I got 40k saved up for him and hopefully I will be able to make him respectable. Of course, I like anything that is free so I can share it with my 2 friends who I have been playing guild wars with for the last few years.
I started a month after launch, and then brought them both on board after about a year. They have passed me in wealth ect, but over all we still had a good time during high school talking about GW ect. We are all graduated now and went our separate ways, so we keep in touch through guild wars which is pretty sweet.
Happy Holidays, and don't forget to fart on santas lap!

any amount of ectos would be nice
I have been playing GW for about 3Years playing it just as a way to pass the time not really getting engaged with it. But recently i have got engaged to the man i love, and he has started to play guild wars, its become a totally new game to me, playing with him all the time and loving every min of it ,
I would love to be able to get him something on guild wars as a present for xmas *and his bday is at the start of january* but i am rather poor. he would like obsidian armour for hes paragon so ive been saving up but i am not very good at it. Any amount of ectos towards this would help me massivly.
Thank you Muchly
xx
Edit. - I am sorry i did not read the section that said i needed to have an account on here for 4 months and made 50 posts, I used to have an account when i used to buy and sell stuff on here but now i have lost all the informations for it. i am sorry for wasting your time, good luck to everyone andwell done to the winner. looked like neal wont be getting his Obsi armour this year :|

Wishlist: q9-12 Healing Celestial Compass for my Special Someone, cause its the season of giving
Special Someone: Guru name - Leona
Leona and i first started guild warsing together about a year ago in a guild called Wayward Soldiers [WS], in no way the best guild but it was the guild i joined after i came back from no more guild wars round 1. The primary focus was gvg, and the leader refused to run a nice, simple balanced and had to do something... unique. it was fun for a while. At first I had issues deciphering all the separate voices on vent; everyone but the leader had a very similar teen-age male voice (the leader's was that of a thirty something year old guy). Leona and I ofter monked together. Eventually the leader decided the rough core and Leona and I were not monking together anymore. If i recall he was moved to typically ele and back-up flagging. GvG wasn't the only stuff we did together. PvE as often an activity, and we'd do some brave missions or dungeons. Leona even gave me ectos to aid in the purchase of a crystalline sword, which i greedily sold for more.
after a while, several members of the guild got.... fed up... with the leader's ways and the fact he was always on WoW (not even real WoW, free lame server style). 4 of us, including Leona, met in Beetletun and discussed the mutiny. We reformed to a guild named Indigo Prophecy [IP]. apparently its something to do with pokèmon. The inventor of the name stopped playing guild wars by the time of our first match. kinda lame. anywhoo, Leona's time in gvg was less and less, due to the increase in members. we still pve'd. after farming a substantial amount of rating, we decided to reform to We Wrestle Bears In Frenzy [xTrm] cause [IP] was a fairly lame name, and climbed to the 160's and mAT'd. Leona came to [xTrm] but didnt get any playtime, which he really needed. eventually he decided to leave (or the new leader booted him after i gave up leadership after the august mAT. i don't recall) and pick up gvging with other guilds. we still pve'd.
leona is what i consider an good friend. he's the type of guy who you can vent to and has something constructive to say. he had rl concerns of his own which he didn't have issues voicing and as a close knit group of peeps he . Leona, along with a few others from [WS] and friends i picked up making [xTrm], and one from even earlier are the only people i consider "friends". there are many other's I've frequent communication with in GW land, but Leona is one of the very few i enjoy time spent in game with. And i pve with him, which for me is a big deal.
i have accepted a lot of generosity in the past, a LOT of generosity, tombs groups way above my rank(@ gorillaz in da mist, luna callista), ectos for a sword i wasnt even going to keep but sell and keep all the profit (@ Ritualist sullivan, Leona, Ele, Necro Advocate), people dropping guilds for Guru Tourney (@ Art Dz aka You Need Xlax), and for ill prepared mATs (Buterfly and Dieu, although thats mostly Flaming's idea for that), and for those who patiently kept with the many reforms even though they came for vastly superior guilds (@Orange Milk, you put up with a lot of crap also) and i have returned very little in charity (save @ Li Nu Tso Wan who'm i partially adopted). i feel that I should give the gift to someone who does deserve it, Leona.
anyways, the 300 ecto wishlist gift i'd like to give to Leona, not for myself, is a usable req Healing Celestial Compass to celebrate your place as core WoH (my fav spot) in your new guild, and because of all the crap and unneeded criticizm and scrutiny he's dealt with in [WS], [IP], [xTrm], not just from other members (*cough* bailey) but myself as well, you more than deserve this gift because you are one of the most patient and considerate players in guild wars land.

I have been an officer in my alliance for over a year now. Many guilds have come and gone. I made good friends with an officer of another guild in my alliance. We would help each other through missions, team up and boost the alliances faction, and do whatever we could to make everyone, and each other have an awesome time. Recently, my friend really badly wanted an Everlasting Skeletonic tonic. So I asked a few people, sold virtually everything worth money on my account, and on his birthday in real life, I gave him the present he will never forget! Even now, we joke around on ventrilo, crack jokes, and do the fun stuff we always do!
Everyone have an amazing holiday! Cheers!

Illfated, I have to say that you never cease to amaze me. You are one of the most generous people I have met in this game.
I can't pin point one person that is special to me, since there are many. Some have become good real life friends, some have become good in game friends, some remain strangers that did something special.
I always enjoy it when I see a player being kind and helpful to others, since many hide behind the anonymity of the internet to let the worst of them come out. That is why I think what you do is pretty amazing.
Thanks for your generosity, but I actually do not need anything just wanted to give you a high five for what you are doing.
My Christmas wish: may many others follow in the footsteps of kindness and courtesy.
Happy Holidays!!!

Well, i do not have a sad history to tell, only a bunch of happy ones i guess. I have had the oportunity to meet a lot of people in the game, some of which became great friends of mine in real life as well. I can't imagine how my life would be if i had never played GW.
One friend in particular convinced me to buy a ps3, and we share games for it and play multiplayer a lot of times together, we are always looking for more things we can play. He now does not play gw anymore because of his new job, and we rarelly meet online for lack of time and in RL because he is now living in another city, but i treasure every time we do get to spend having fun. We are very similar, and we help each other a lot through tough times, adn when i look back, to think that i would have never met him if i didn't play GW, i guess GW managed to change my life. Not only for him, my best friend, but for all the friends i managed to make in that game.
When i started, my family told me not to get involved with people i find online, they were just virtual friends and would not be the same when met in person, they could be anything. Guess i proved them wrong, even though the internet is filled with sick people, they have some amazing people in it as well, because that is just how the world is. Not trying to kiss ass or anything, but i wouldn't be making this post if there wasn't one amazing person willing to give a lot of in game money to strangers around the internet, for no benefit at all, and as such i would like to thank the OP for the oportunity given even if i don't win.
thank you, and merry christmas and happy new year to all!

Back in late 2005 i met a person who helped me out alot, i was needing help getting armour because i was too poor but instead of giving me money or just ignoring me this person taught me how to get a steady income of gold and not to overspend on fancy things, that really helped me through the game
We kept in touch afterwards, him helping me out on quests and teaching me all sorts about the game which i was very appreciative of, we became great friends and realised we had alot in common with real life things such as music.
We spoke everyday and had mutual respect for eachother, oh the times we'd have a great old laugh or both help people after i started getting good, we were like two brothers who just loved helping people ^^
One thing led to another and we arranged to meet up in real life, we were both going to a music festival in germany and we got our tickets and were just waiting for this festival, but one day i got horrible horrible news, he had been in an accident and passed away (I knew his sister too)
That day i cried and cried and couldnt go to sleep, and i dont think i will ever be over that
But i remembered something he said to me once "If someone close to you passes away, dont dwell on their death, but instead remember the great memories you have with them, they will be looking down on you"
When i remembered that, it made me realise how many great memories iv had with him, and that i was lucky to have ever to have met him at all.
So this is in memory of my friend Tom
May you rest in peace brother.
Edit, Merry Christmas to all

A good RL friend of mine and i started playing at the same time. We both worked our way through Tyria together so long ago. We had all kinds of adventures through the land of Guild Wars; completing missions, fighting in PvP, or just exploring and having a good time. This game would of been a lot lees interesting if it weren't for him. Unfortunately, he has since joined the Marines. I miss playing with him, and am always worried he will someday be transferred from Japan so a war zone somewhere. He helped introduce me to most of the in game friends I have now, and can't wait for him to return home. His name is Karl, but you may know his character as Aes Sedai Egwene.
Happy Holidays, both at home and overseas!

Well I really don't want anything for myself, but I want to request this to the person who helped me out. My brother has a guild wars account and a few months ago it was hacked and he lost a lot. He was so dissapointed that he stopped playing the game and now that he is struggling to finish his year in college he is under heavy stress. I just want to be able to give him a small gift so that maybe he might feel better and possibly graduate. I have been saving up all my z-keys from the months and in addition to this I think he might be pretty happy. I won't give his IGN unless you PM me on gwguru.
Thanks for your generosity anyways if I can't win. I hope that all of the ectos doesn't get into the hands of one person and goo luck to all.
To the mods, if I can't post for someone else then sorry... my bad.

My person:
I first started playing Guild Wars with some real life friends, but many of the people who have made the whole playing experience great have been those who I have met in the game. It is difficult to choose one person to write about, but I would have to choose my friend "Balen" (Chembaron on these forums). I met Balen the usual way, pugging FoW long ago. He was guildless, looking for a group for the forgemaster. Meanwhile, I was with an alliance group just looking to farm FoW for some shards. We picked him up, and were impressed that he was a pug elementalist who knew what he was doing ;P Seriously though, he hit it off with the group, and was adopted into our alliance. Months and years passed, and he is still a member of our guild. He's become my best friend in the game, we work on PvE titles together (currently finishing Tyrian Vanquisher, our last needed for Legendary), and PvP together as well. We have even met irl a couple times, and it was pretty awesome. It wasn't like meeting someone new; it was like visiting an old friend. Time has passed, and many of my guildies and allies have moved onto new games and new places. I probably would be one of these people too, if it wasn't for my friend. Because of him, I am still here and still playing, and enjoying it. It is not solely him of course, but playing without him around feels strange. Even chatting with him while playing makes my time on the game more enjoyable. When he took a break from GW, I found myself playing less. It's hard to believe that I met one of my best friends through a video game

Use: who knows, maybe a little giveaway and some z keys
Someone I had met that made my time in GW better was a guy in my guild. We first really met in a guild run of Darkrime Delves. His name was partially from a video game and I kinda alluded to it and he said that's where he got it from and we spent the entire run making jokes from the video game, being a fairly obscure one the entire guild did not get it. We talked a bit from then and vanq'ed a few areas. He only had a few pieces of elite armor so one day I gave him 30k to finish off his norn set. The next day in Kathandrax he had an emerald blade drop which he gave to me as a thank you. I was taken aback as it was worth 100k+ a lot of ectos and I had only gave him a few k. He insisted saying it was ugly anyways. I had never been a vary generous person but he kind of changed that. He always had good luck with drops on our runs keeping his first Obby blade and giving me a magmas shield and selling a lot of his other drops for low prices to people that could not quite afford them from others. We finished our vanqing of NF almost completely together and also tyrian guardian. The whole time enjoying conversations on TS. I found out fairly early on that he was on a military base and one day he told me he was being deployed. His generosity had effected most of the guild at some point so I contacted the guild leader and together we threw a little party for him. Being all fairly rich we all piched in to get him a mini shiroken, some thing he had always wanted and might have been able to afford if he did not always give things away. He was suppose to be back over a month ago now and I really hope he is doing ok. Sadly I have no Idea how he is doing but he was suppost to have been deployed to a peacekeeping area so he should be ok. I hope he is doing ok.
