>> Please Read: Updates to the Guidelines & FAQ - December 2009 <<
Hello folks of GWG!
There have been a few minor updates to the Ventari's Corner Guidelines. There is almost nothing new in here - we're just updating a few pieces to better correspond with practices already in place.
Please make a special note of the Fake Bids addition and the update/additions to the Services section.
This is not a complete list of the Guidelines. Below are just excerpts to help identify the modified pieces. The full set of Guidelines and F.A.Q. can be found here:
Guidelines
F.A.Q.
Quote:
5. Non-Bid Violations
...........
- There is no reason to post more than once in a thread unless you have been out-bid.
If you need to retract or decide to change your bid edit your existing post. Insulting, excessive, damaging, or otherwise inappropriate retraction comments will be removed and result in a Non-Bid.
Note: If you want to raise your bid because you have been outbid you must make a new post.

6. Improper Listing
...........
- You are allowed to post a link to any other threads you may have in Ventari.
- You are not allowed to post links to other user's threads in your threads in Ventari.
- Links to Guild Wars Guru Auctions. You are not allowed to accept bids in the sell forums but can inform potential buyers by linking to your auction.

11. Other Violations
...........
- Fake trades - we have seen items posted for sale, that did not exist. For this reason, we retain the right to close threads and request visual confirmation of the item ingame. If such proof is not offered, the item cannot be offered up for trade again on GWG.
- Fake bids - we have seen a number of insincere bids on High End items. For this reason, we retain the right to contact bidders ingame to confirm that they have the funds to back their bid. We reserve the right to delete bids or inform the involved parties of the results of these inquiries.

12. Service Threads
- Feedback - You may only post service feedback in a thread if:
- You have obtained the service AND
- You already left a post in the thread requesting service (you may not leave feedback if you did not previously post requesting the service)
- Edit the post where you requested the service and add your feedback there, leaving your original request intact. DO NOT write a new post, it will be considered a NON BID.
- Prohibited Services - Do not make a thread offering or requesting these services:
- Fame Farming
- Champ Point Farming
- Reward Point Farming
- Do not request free services
- Anything that involves a user accessing another user's account

Modification to the F.A.Q.
Quote:
27.- I was banned for Multiple Active Threads, but I waited 24 hours before I opened a new one.
This happens when you leave threads open and you start a new one up to about a week later. Until a thread is closed, it is still active.
When you open a new thread and a moderator notices you have other threads open, if they are 7-10+ days old, they tend to simply close them. If you really REALLY want to play it safe, just try to remember to close older threads before you open a new one.
