If you're an ascended Ranger and want a spider, this thread may be for you. I'm thinking of starting a service where I'll clear out a path through the UW for you, and get you through the spider quest aswell. The rewards: a level 20 UW spider, plus whatever loot you acquire along the way (weapons, ectos, cash). The price: I'm thinking around 10k for the job, plus you pay the 1k entry fee into the UW. I'm not sure on the price yet, I'll have to do the mission solo a couple times to see how hard it will be, so the price may go up or down. My preliminary run took around 30 minutes from start to finish. Post here for feedback please.

i see people offering a LOT more than that in ToA, i think especially since its a service, u might even be able to get away with 20-25k

I agree with the 20-25K, I believe that's definately a fair price.

Hmmm, thanks for the info guys, from my test runs I figure I'll need to hire an ele to help with the dryders, but other than that I can run this fairly easily. Thanks for the price tips, I'll be sure to adjust them accordingly. I should be able to have this service up and running before Monday, so spead the word

i have quarms. it doesnt feel right to be able to 'buy' a spider. i got mine by going down UW myslef, doing the missions, and finally persuading the other rangers that they didnt want it. that makes it all the more special. sure its a complete **** to get, but that makes it all the more rewarding when u get it. Do u beleive it to right that money (which almost certainly comes from farming) can buy everything, rather than a little skill?
that said, i cant really stop u, and it will provide a service to those with more money than they have sense, just make sure u charge top dollar, so that at least it will still be a treat

What makes things special for you doesn't necessarily make them special for me. I would feel the same satisfaction buying passage to the spider as I would buying say an eternal bow. I see no difference there. I am sure that many have problems with many things in the game, from running to farming to such services as they're offered here, that's not to say that I agree with it all either. But in the end, unless you become personally affected by it or it is illegal I don't see how you think you can judge anyone or anything by what you've read here.

I do this run for rangers quite often (with 1 friend to help me) and I've charged from 10-20k each (20-40k total, with drops usually ours, but depends on individual)... people will pay it :P
