The Traveler's Fellowship
In response to the current situations concerning Bolt of Linens, I would like to start a sort of "Fellowship". Due to the sudden rise in demand for Bolts of Linen, "wealthier" players took the opportunity to buy out all Bolts of Linens at their normal price and sell them at nearly 4 times as much.
I will list names of sellers that vow to keep prices normal in order to prevent the inflation of materials. Buyers will refer to this thread to find honest sellers. Scalpers will, in turn, be forced to lower their prices.
Anyone on the list who is reported selling at extremely high prices will be taken off.
PM me if you want in on this.
Members of the Fellowship
- Halc Yon - Sorry, I'm out of Bolts of Linen.

Seriously? You think that people who have been playing this game for some time should be punished? People who had the foresight to actually save some materials should be punished? O wait, it's only punished by you and your huge group of followers.... um, I mean you. Honestly guy, it's never going to happen. You might get a few people to join your little crusade, but even if you get like 2,000,000 players to join you, it still won't happen. It's a valiant effort, pointless and fruitless, but valiant all the same. here's something that might cheer you up a little.

In response to the current situations concerning Bolt of Linens, I would like to start a sort of "Cartel". Due to the sudden rise in demand for Bolts of Linen, "wealthier" players took the opportunity to buy out all Bolts of Linens at their normal price and sell them at nearly 4 times as much. We can do better.
I will list names of sellers that try to undercut prices in order to get fast sales. Buyers shall never reach those people, our goal is to buy em out fast and resell at higher price on which we will agree. Undercuters will, in turn, be forced to raise their prices.
:-)
Anyone wants to start "steel ingot cartel"?

Well, keeping all linen and 2 stacks of Plant Fibers, "just in case". I did it, I should have the benefits of selling them high. Sold almost all 350g each (everyone else was selling 400g each).

I take it from your comment you're one of the ignorant folks who've been trained to believe that because the soviets screwed up socialism the way Americans are screwing up capitalism its a bad thing?
I love all the people who don't think past the way code words have been programmed into their brains... kinda like slaves defending slavery. You can't blame slave owners for not wanting the status quo upset back in the day, but this situation we have in America now is more like 90% of the SLAVE population supporting the slave system. Next time keep the politics outta the forums if you don't want responses like this. Go listen to your "master" Rush and Co. lmao.
As far as the linen, can't say if I had a huge supply I wouldn't sell it at the going rate. At the same time, you can't fault someone for trying to tilt markets back in their favor. Thats CAPITALISM at its finest. No regulation means anyone is free to work out any way they want to agree to terms. Now if ANET was mandating and administering such a system (as the only entity that can be considered close to a government in this situation) THAT would be socialism. But a general member of the economy working out deals with other people who might be willing to participate? Thats called brains, not socialism, lmao.
Oh, and i think its so cute how you resurrect the whole QQ more thing.. looks like someone hasn't stepped outside the parent's basement for a LOOONG LOOOONG time using that old cliche.

I ran out of my stack of linen at 5k+ per 15 mere minutes after the Traveler was revealed. So now, ahhh... I'm looking to get in touch with some of these Fellows who sell cheap linen.

Hey better that than that you pay a gold farmer real money to get fake gold right? All's fare in a game, good luck on the hoarding lol.

sorry
the inherent problem with the fellowship is that you can't sell to people for a low price. . . because the wealthier players will buy you out as well. as valiant as your efforts may be, you'd have to keep track of everyone you ever traded with. . . and everyone else in your fellowship traded with, otherwise that wealthy player will simply buy 15 from your entire fellowship until you have none, at which point, offer at 4 times the amount. if you were willing to generate a blacklist of all the people known to sell high after buying from you, it would mean dedicating hours of tracking people, cataloging them, and verifying it with the people they traded with. even if you did, if they switched chars or gave to a friend for free who then sold it, it would be invisible to your knights of the round. but nonetheless, i hope your stand makes a statement that there are greater things than money in this life.

This idea is pointless like the comunism was in the old days. U can't fight free economy. Just get a grip, stay tuned to what items Nicolas colects and play the game.

It's a moot point..
But with things like linen, all you have to do is farm their components and go see someone like Daved the Artisan outside of Sardelac and have him MAKE you linen for 200g. Which, btw, was cheaper than trying to buy it from the merchant.
Just take the time to inform yourself before going off half-cocked over someone making a profit from those who don't apply themselves.
