I don't really intend to sell this as I reckon I can make good use of it, but I think its a pretty nice sword (functionally anyway - its a little basic to look at) and wondered what sort of price it might fetch.

Shocking Longsword of Swordsmanship:

- 15-22 Lightening damage.
- Req 9
- +15% ^50% health
- Swordsmanship+1 (20% chance when using skills).

Also if anyone has any tips on use for this (e.g. where to use a shocking weapon) and whether I should change Hilt feel free to suggest them.

Thanks. Is it fairly low because of the mods on it?

The basic weapon seems strong to me (15-22 req9 15%^50%) so would it be best to put different upgrades on it? The swordsmanship upgrade (despite being perfect) doesnt seem the best and I would have thought a good Sundering or even Furious pommel might give a better damage output overall.

Likewise I'm unsure exactly what being lightening damage will do for me - I guess just more damage against certain enemy type? e.g. Warriors or creatures with natural vulnerability?

Or should I just keep it as a nice sword to have to provide alternatives? I have the plan of building a few different ones (e.g. One with 15% while enchanted and +20% enchantments, one pure offense various damage types etc) so I am happy to stick with variety.

No, I have no intention of selling (I did say that at the beginning

) and if I did intend to do so then I wouldnt even consider blowing a good mod on it. The price check was really out of interest to assess how good a weapon it actually is overall.

It seems from some searching that the elemental will probably come in useful, but the 20% Swordsmanship is not a particularly good mod even at 20%. Better with Defense or Fort by the sounds of it.

Only problem with that is that I wanted a high damage weapon as opposed to more defensive - I have a Grognars which I consider more defensive with +HP and Vampiric, esp combined with Vigorous Spirit and fast attacks. But an alternative would be good and I reckon this will beat my FDS hands down in most circs.
