Accepted knowledge on this board doesn't always correspond very well with in-game reality. For example, the price that everyone on guru was charging for 20/20 rockmolders was about 1/3 of what I regularly sold them for. I have plenty of examples of guru members buying items from me in-game because they knew that bids would never get high enough on guru and that I wouldn't sell the item for a "guru price." Another example: I put a req 7 15(ench) phoenix blade up for a pc...150-200k, according to Guru. 480k+ in-game. Agree with whatever you want.

It's important to acknowledge that pricing works in a very particular way on Guru...and often in a different way in game. Many Guru members expect to buy items cheap here from people who don't want to put the time in to sell in-game. Those items are often resold in-game for substantial profit over the "Guru price." There are certain items that are better sold on Guru and some -- even very good items, like that phoenix blade -- that are better sold in-game.

PC are never 100% correct and yes guru prices tend to be different from in-game prices this is old news

This thread has probably wandered off into useless territory, but here goes...

I don't think people here are "out to rip me off," but I'd say half the time I PC on Guru, I get responses that just aren't accurate. That is, they don't reflect the in-game value of the items. Since in-game is where these items "exist," (and not on Guru), I wonder (again) why there is such a thing as a "Guru price" and such disregard for giving an ACCURATE price.

As I've said in the past, I post on Guru because I want to. I'm not sure I have to explain myself to anyone here. Also, good PCs are useful selling tools and, as I've said in the past, accurate PCs would make Guru a much more useful tool for everyone. The fact of the matter is that people come to Guru to know what their items are worth. They deserve PCs that reflect in-game reality, not trends on Guru.
