in the game there are these people who buy things, and give you little round metallic objects in return known as "gold coins;" i believe these people are called "merchants"
...use them.

The problem is few people will buy non-max white weapons just for the novelty. It's just not worth running around screaming "WTS 9-16 SICKLE VERY RARE" for a few hours to try to get a few k.
