Is the hatchet a rare weapon?
It has the same skin as the cleaver.
In my 600 hours of game time, I've only ever seen one hatchet, and was accidently sold to the merchant.

Just wondering, have I been living under a rock all this while?

It'd be along the lines of white scythe or krytan axe. Those two have the same skin as a hand axe.
A hatchet, on the other hand, has the skin of a cleaver.

Blah, Hatchets are the same skin as 'Waraxe'. They ugly, can be found right outside Lions Arch. I guess it has a rare name to it.

I had a blue, no req 6-9 +10% enchanted, Hachet drop for me in Mineral Springs...

As Senator Tom requested, here's a pic of a hatchet.
I just found another one fought 2 creatures, one dropped a hatchet and another a sickle.
But with the crappy damages, I think they hold best value at the merchant.

And my mistake, its doesn't use the cleaver skin, its the war axe skin.

i think i got maxed whgen i was farming griffins but then i thought i havnt seen one of these but i sold it...
