After all, it seems that the pyramids are Asuran.

gw048=Rata Sum motives - gw049 and 051=CTC motives

I would bet Anet screwed up the textures of the structures and the textures of the ruined pyramids found in Arbor Bay.

It brings the question what was Linsey talking about? Perhaps she was so desperate that she told us false informations. If not, where are the real 'preexisting architecture with Asuran modifications'?

I've found this banner in CTC: gw050

Any ideas what does it depict?

One link:

(hum, dunno if we can link to GWO here, if we can't, erase that.)

Re-used textures would be the right expression.
That's why we cannot identify the ruins that we find along the Depths as 'canon' to those we seen in the Tarnished Coast.

Unless, of course, those structures in the CTC are ruins the Asura took over as well. Either way, the whole "asuran structures" cannot go past what floats to be sure what are, and what are not asuran.

OR! Linsey is not on the lore team and answered what she knew without going to the lore team. OR! Linsey did go to the lore team and the answer she got was what she told, thus it wasn't Linsey but the live team. OR! The live team decided not to put any kind of race behind the ruins and just leave it as an unsolved mystery forever and it is the ruins themselves that are the trap, not the fact that the Asura built on them!

Left over from Utopia, that and a red, similar styled, banner have an Aztec-like depiction.

For an easy view of the red and blue banners:

But do read the thread Eliz linked. It may help.

Question: Why wouldn't we be able to?

Answer: No reason, because we can link to GWO, and it is done a hundred times, at least, in the Archives' second post.

Actually, I think we can identify the Depths' ruins as canon in terms of looks. It's in terms of specific location. We can only say something is truly in the dungeon if the area is unique to the dungeon. Slavers', for instance, can be completely ignored except for the first level. While Vloxen Excavations' third level is 100% canon for location, as the only other dungeon which shares a portion of that dungeon's level is Thommis' level, which we cannot count as canon!
