Also, I've got a question for the guru vets here. Any restoration magic collections out there(pre or post nerf)? I think that's one of the few things I haven't seen yet on here.

Since many of my old images have been lost (and at Imy's request), here's a list of some of my favorite items from my (and Kabong's) vault. All of the items here are perfect, which means that collection-worthy items that are imperfect (e.g., Req 8 -2/-3(9%)) aren't listed.

This list also doesn't include any of Kabong's hammers, any of my necro collection, or any other caster gear (e.g., Kabong's small but impressive collection of mesmer and elementalist gear). Maybe later for that :P

This list also won't include items that are very nice, popular, expensive, etc., that are likely to appear in more than one or two other people's collections. In other words, no req 8 fellblades and more standard collection-type stuff.

This list also only includes items that I currently own. Some of the nicest items that Kabong and I have ever owned have found their way to other people's collections. Some of the finest sword-and-shield and bow collections in the game are centered around items that came from our vaults under very specific circumstances, as are many of the more unusual (req 7) axes that you see floating around. The current owners deserve the pleasure of displaying those items for themselves.

Finally, this list doesn't include items that of strictly historical or personal value. Customized unconditional weapons from The Herbalizer, a helmet from Stza Erza (RIP), and other such relics and mementos don't appear here.

This list isn't exhaustive...just some of my favorites. All perfect. All pristine.

Must say my favorite is: Req 8 45 (hex)/-3(hex) Magmas. Just because I (want to) collect shields like those. Priority lies somewhere else now though

I like those old prophecies items SO MUCH! Can´t tell how much I´d love that trolls magmas - so much nostalgia in there! And on those heavy ones I always get weak as well - I mean there is q7-9, there is heavy and there is crap

Well it´s an overstatement, but I really love them either perf in whatsoever means or heavy - only the strongest of all warriors can use that magmas there properly <3

In a convenient and unplanned combination of posts, The Captain has asked who inspired people to begin collecting and then posted details of the items that inspired me to begin collecting and also explained how his mentors encouraged and humoured him as he began his journey.

I had heard of these collectors, and read the collections thread many times, and as I wanted to begin a collection myself, I sought them out intending to convince them to show me the ropes. Enchanted Krystal, Gregor, Calli, and Tooburns were the ones who taught me at first. EK was my inspiration to begin a collection after he showed me his Magmas shields. We decided I should collect dual reduction shields after we spent hours trying to figure out what to collect. He donated my first piece to start me off - a r8 -2-2 skeleton shield. I don't think either of us knew the future of that collection.

But the names I really wanted to meet were a couple of brothers named Kromp and Kabong. But finding them was tricky as we were never on at the same time. I had heard tales of the items in their possession, so like a stalker I waited to meet them. When I finally did, and explained what I was doing, The items Kromp showed me were the final inspiration for me to collect. Truly amazing items, some of which he listed just now. But it was the mission of his little guild that impressed me most - to locate, acquire and preserve the rarest items in existence.

These collectors were to be the ones that humoured and taught me.

I wanted a part of that, and it was this mission that drove me to locate and acquire as many dual reduction shields as possible, and maybe, just maybe my name might be whispered in conversations of the finest items. Would I be able to write my name on the history of collectors even though I had come late to collecting? I can't answer that, but I'm giving it my best shot.

All those items are Kromps or Kabongs.

Oofus owns a q7+5e jitte.
I know of Q7+5e brute and broadsword.
Q8+5e FDS was owned by capitalist.
Rest of the Tyrian Q8+5e maybe Handler? Not sure if anyone has em all.

Hopefully someone can confirm.
