You aren't going to get it for quite some time if you are at the temple of ages.

Shrapnel_Magnet, check the other thread discussion, you can get it from the warrior troll in troll caves (Shmuch something) outside Forge. Check Xennon's map for the Ranger ESCAPE skill to know the location, ranger or warrior boss spawns there, and its a lot easier to get Battle Rage from him.

Now with the new update it should be easier to get elites right?

Warriors Endurance, Defy Pain, Battle Rage, Punishing Shot and Crippling Shot are all now easier to capture. These were the only effected skills. Its been confirmed that they are all pretty easy to capture now. All other skills are relativly easy to capture already, so basically that is every elite found and happy :-)

Defy Pain still took quite a bit of trouble. When I killed him about 2x with henchies, he still didn't use Defy Pain.
Finally got into a PUG and then all of a sudden, was capturing Defy Pain. A few PCs at that point were dead due to the Ice Imps...

Since the update, can anyone tell me if Mineral Springs is easier to work through for soc runs? I find this area particularly tedious to a) get to; b) clear out; c) cap skills from. A standard soc run here is well over 1 hour in my experience (and the one time I did do it, the Elem boss was nowhere to be found).
I need Glyph of Energy and Shield of Judgement from here.

Don't think they changed anything here, as it's not mentioned in the patch changes.

with the new soc update, simply kill the monster who has the skill you want. Move your character near to where his corpse is, or if he doesnt have a corpse, where he died, and activate your SoC. the bar will be empty dont worry, then a menu pops up with a list of all of the dead bosses skills. select which one you want to capture and you have your elite! this makes it very nice and easy to get all the skills you need.
As mineral springs goes, the easiest way to do it i have found is to take two death necros with you. Having two people constantly using verata's sacrifice leads to a ridiculous amount of bone fiends, and when their death magic is lvl 16, you walk through the place. Obviously, this may not be viable for people who aren't in a guild so just try to get a PUG or friends who know what they are doing. I find at this point in the game, Death necros get pretty powerful against all these avicara/stone summit/ hydra gits. :P have fun.

wtf this new system comes in as soon as i had spent all my time getting all my elites (getting some drove me to beat the crap outta my monitor) it just pisses me off how they did this. it seems that the players that have been playing from the start are getting screwed over big time...

Anything with 'unconfirmed' after it is something that I have not confirmed/mapped with my own eyes.
You can get to the list at http://www.xennon.co.uk/eliteskills/
Hope this helps u out :-)

Hey Xennon, this list is great! I have one suggestiont hough..
It would be really nice if under each skill name you have the short description of what the skill does. With that this would be a single spot to see both the skill locations and capabilities. I know the list would get bigger, but I think it would be a small price to pay.
