@Blue, you can try using Orange on your Mesmer's armor, that is the color used for that pic you posted. But I doubt it will turn out the same. As for a pink color I have no idea right now, I have no experience with FoW armors yet.

Try a purple+red. and maybe a purple+red+dye remover.
But i would like to know why anet decided to make the necro scar and chaos axe colors so complicated. Why cant blue=blue, and red=red?

I'd like to thank everyone for all the work on the charts, dye combos, and examples. It really helped when I was trying to make my own dye.
I tried some different things on the armor I've picked (15k Drakescale), and I'm starting to believe that Ranger armor in general takes most dye combinations pretty well.
Yellow + Silver + Silver + Silver made this really pretty soft white, like Eggshell.
Blue + Green + Silver + Silver made a pretty nice light teal.
Blue + Green + Blue + Silver made this:

OMG good work with the different types of armour! Will you be experimenting on any more 15k or FoW stuff in the near future???

anyone knows how I could get a brown staff?

no one knows about it? I tried the different conbinations shown by the charts on the first page, and they all turn kinda "glowy pink" when I dye my staff with some mixed dye that looks brown :/

We plan on doing all the 2 Dye mixes on every armor(Fow, 15k, and normals).

Nice! I've got some female Ascetic's monks tattoo armour from granite citadel... I'll be experimenting on getting as close to white as possible on that. Thats on the palest skin colour there is (I'm assuming skin colour affects outcome for the tattoos).
If I can help in any way, feel free to drop me a line (The Mo in game is "Spinal The Healer" if you feel like spamming me :P)
Spinal
P.s. anyone wanna try beating my record? I got to Granite Citadel with a lvl2 monk :P (heard rumours of a lvl1 around LA, but never saw him/her...)

The strangest dying i've ever come across is FoW monk asthetics. Anyone found any rationality to it?

I'd like to know the same thing. I spent 50k on dyes mixing to try to get white, only to find out that just silver is closer than anything that I made.
Also, I'm wondering what Black+Dye remover+Black+Black would make.. I want some pitch black armor! Black dye just isn't black enough for me

I did some testing trying to get white on a female monk tattoos on the lightest skin colour selectable (asthetic from Granite Citadel).
-(Silver) comes out light grey
-(((Silver+Yellow)+Silver)+Silver) comes out lighter yellow
-(((Silver+Green)+Silver)+Silver) comes out very light green
-(((Silver+Blue)+Silver)+Silver) comes out like a very light version of the undyed armour
-(((Silver+Silver)+Silver)+Silver) comes out light grey
At the end I gave up and bought 5 black dyes and dyes all my tattoos black :P Can grab pics if you want...
Spinal
P.s. a "common" white formula is (((Silver+Yellow)+Silver)+Silver) this works well on warrior armour...

I always thought you couldn't mix 2 dye of the same dye colors with eachother, are you sure about the 4 Silver mix Spinal33?

You can't... thats where mixing order comes into play... (thats why I have parentheses, thats the mixing-order :P)
Basically, for (((Y+S)+S)+S) means:
Step1 : Mix Yellow + Silver, get 1 vial MIXED
Step2 : Mix Mixed + Silver, get 1 vial MIXED'
Step3 : Mix Mixed' + Silver, get 1 vial MIXED''
You can't directly mix Silver and Silver to my knowledge, (nor Black and Black that I know of...)
Spinal
(P.s. i managed to lose my silver screen shots! gahh! If you wanna see some black dye on a Citadel Tattoo, lightest skin, monk, pm me in game (Mo is Spinal The Healer, if you wanna see some blue/black mix on Necro armour (2 kinds, both 15K from Marhan's) pm me at "Mesmerizing Jade"
Spinal
EDIT:
Just some mix ratios for the mathematicians:
Step1 : Mix Yellow + Silver, get 1 vial MIXED (50%S, 50%Y)
Step2 : Mix Mixed + Silver, get 1 vial MIXED' (25%Y, 75%S)
Step3 : Mix Mixed' + Silver, get 1 vial MIXED'' (12.5%Y, 87.5%S)

I just hope the two-dye Necromancer scars are soon =/
Trivia! And by "trivia" I mean "please know this thing, it is driving me crazy";
the definition of two nouns:
aesthetic: A guiding principle in matters of artistic beauty and taste; artistic sensibility
ascetic: A person who renounces material comforts and leads a life of austere self-discipline, especially as an act of religious devotion.
aesthetic != ascetic
Now go away and dye! Just dye!

I'd like to ask if anyone knows how to make necro scar armor black. I tried black dye on it today and it turned this whitish/grey color, and I had already bought 4 blac dyes
p.s.- the other scar armor thing wasnt wrong, it was for the face scar. I wasnt thinking about that when I posted before.

Buy one of a dye, put it in storage, buy another one. Dunno how it affects mixes though.
