Yeah, I know about Wendi Lee. She has played plenty of interesting characters.

I was so sad that Captain Foley wasn't in Nightfall.

I don't have a list of any of the voice actors in Guild Wars. And I have no idea where such a detailed list came from. Perhaps just following links on websites? As far as I know, ArenaNet has never released a list of voice actors. I know we use an agency for hiring voice actors and that at least one ArenaNet rep and our sound engineer are active in the recording sessions. I can ask if there is more information to be had, of course, but the person I would ask is traveling so it will be at least two weeks before I can obtain that info, if it is even available.

The first time I ever heard his voice in a cutscene I knew it was Steven Blum... I'd recognize that voice anywhere.
I love bebop.

ArenaNET has released a list of voice actors...TWICE!
http://guildwars.com/support/contact...onscredits.php
http://guildwars.com/support/contact...allcredits.php
(Scroll to the Bottom Of Both Pages)
Whomever did the Factions and Nightfall Credits list on the site must know something. Unless that person created names from thin air or someone did it for them.
Anyway, I am grateful for any kind of information I can get at this point.

Sure there's the list of voice actors in the manual and at the end of the game in Factions and Nightfall too, but somehow I get the feeling Gaile meant a list which would tell what parts the actors do the voices for.
That or she doesn't bother reading the credits or the manual.

I knew I recognised Master of Whispers' voice from somewhere. Keith Szarabaijka was also Matt Stoner, the Empath Telepath in Babylon 5 Also a couple of roles in Star Trek from the looks of it.

Thanks for that, I added that under the list.
I'll continue to add in names until Gaile delivers.
But until then if anyone else recognize any familiar voices, feel free to post the info.

*sigh* Is that called for? When the very request is, "ATTN Gaile Gray: I would just love to have a list of which actor played which character. I can only match voices with previous works of theirs at this point."
Is it not clear that's what I was going to try to acquire?
That, or the posters in this thread don't bother to read the post to which they're responding.
Edit to add: Omega -- I just wanted to mention that, since voice actors are so talented and so versitile, it's not safe to make "attributions" based only on voice familiarity. That's making assumptions, and you know what they say about "assume." Unless we can provide a list, I'm afraid that a list based on vocal recognition alone would be pretty flaky.

The last comment was not directed at you. Merely to say how unlikely the alternative is. Perhaps it was an unnecessary post. But then again, most of my posts are.

Robin Atkin Downes' voice is quite easy to recognise... he voiced at least Zhed Shadowhoof, Prince Bokka the Magnificent and Dunkoro's Son in Nightfall, and of course Rurik's both forms in Prophecies.

Without a doubt, Kari Wahlgren is voice of Tahlkora. Her voice acting in Samurai Champloo, Shadow Hearts: Convenant, Wolf's Rain, Witch Hunter Robin, and Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cereberus sounds right on par with Tahlkora's voice. Not to mention the fact that she's already credited to the role in her Wikipedia entry.

Hence the need for an official list. (Isn't that "Versatile" not "Versitle")
I am still patiently waiting on that list. No pressure at all btw.
But until then, I will fill the list based on assumption and human voice recognition from the actors/actresses previous works. Flaky that maybe but at least I will have something to fall back on just in case. When the official list arrives, I can change names to the correct places if I managed to get them wrong some how.

Never seen FLCL which was why I didn't list it. I guess I should've mentioned "From the works I've heard her in such as...", but no matter.
And I miss Spike/Shishio/Mugen/Darcia/the Laughing Man/that guy he played in S-cry-ed/countless others in NF . I wonder why the change?
And I THINK that Julianne Buescher does the voice of the Female hero in NF and maybe even the voice of Acolyte Jin. Judging from some of the samples on her website, her voice sounds just about right for both parts, but I can't say that with absolute certainty.
