Default A Picture is worth a Thousand Words...

As far as I can tell, this has never been done before, so I have no idea where to put it. Therefore I will put it here.

Below is a link to my first GW slideshow. While doing my most recent character, a Prophecies W/E named Ashen Leonidas, I took screenshots regularly (with the HUD disabled). I've organized these into about a dozen folders on my computer (and that with me only being in Lions Arch), and finally got around to turning the folders into actual Powerpoints. The pictures are decent, and accompanied by a little spiel about the character.

In order to watch this slideshow and all the ones I make in the future properly, please do the following;
1) Get a membership on imeem; half the time the soundtrack will come from imeem since I don't own any of these tracks
2) Go to the following link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/83130740...Slideshow.pptx
Download the file. There's no viruses, I promise.
3) Find the soundtrack on imeem or youtube as directed, and wait for it to load completely.
4) Open the powerpoint
5) Read the little spiel. I try to keep them short.
6) Push the play button on the soundtrack and then immediately start the slideshow.

I tried to make this one shift scenes in tune with the soundtrack, but since the amount of time from you starting the soundtrack to you starting the slideshow is between one and five seconds depending on your computer speed and your reflexes, it's impossible. In the future, each picture will last five seconds.

Intro:

Ascalon had only recently emerged from the last Guild War when the call went out for more soldiers, the best of Ascalon, to bolster the forces of the Ascalon Guard, in order to fend off a new threat from the north; the Charr. Among these valiant men and women was Ashen Leonidas, a poor son of a farmer. In spite of his humble past, he quickly became a powerful warrior under the training of Tidus Windfall, who introduced him to a small guild known as the Gryphon Legion. After fighting Grawl and other pests with Tidus for several weeks, Ashen was considered battle-worthy and transferred over to the local Guard Captain Devona to prevent the Royalist threat from spreading to Green Hills County. At this time he was moved from Ascalon City to Ashford Abbey. After pushing the Royalists back into Regent Valley, he was asked to investigate a mysterious disturbance in the catacombs with Abby Clabell, and then to strike the Royalists at their roots in Regent Valley. The Royalists, however, left a token garrison and fled. While in the area, however, Ashen was first introduced to High Chief Lothar, a Ranger leading who was currently leading the Gryphon Legion.

Thus did Ashen's journey begin...
