Nvm, I got it to work. I decided to re-copy the .dll and the .ini file to my gw folder after doing the "-image" thing and now it loads without a problem. Thanks for all you efforts kunt0r, your mod makes the game more fun to play fer sure. Although I'm still trying to find a group of critters large enough to kill all at once and hear "Godlike!" without anything before it. Any suggestions?

Downloading th9is when i get my new graphics card soon, I'd like to be reinsured its not a keylog with all this GW hacking lately.

Today's update seems to have disabled UT sound effects. I have an error message to the effect of: "Unable to enable UT99_Sound_FX" or somesuch. High-res textures still work.

Well, the 5000 other people that have downloaded it havent been hacked... so I think your fine. -_-
The files aren't even .exe or anything, there just two little files. 1's a 2 line text thingy, other contains the ut sounds and code. and thats all

Not sure if you can hear "Godlike!" right away with a large enough BOOM! on mobs. For some reason, the sound effects don't work when I'm out Vaettir Farming on my ele.
But for sizeable, easy mobs to easily reach "Godlike!", there's that Service: In Defense of the North quest and also those marching Charr outside Gunnar's Hold.

K, now it doesn't matter what I do or how I do it. Every time I load GW I get the same window popping up.
I've done the -image thing.
I've defragged the .dat file over and over.
I've tried doing the -image thing and then adding the 2 ksmod files.
I've tried adding the ksmod files and then doing the -image thing.
And I still get the same error window popping up. I'm going to try and see if it's a driver related thing and get back to you on it.
Anyone else having this problem or have had this problem in the past and know how to fix it? I need help, I miss the UT sounds.
And for some reason across the top of the error box it says version 2.1, but I have the 2.2 installed......

If you'd bother to actually read the error box, it says the problem is due to a GW update, and to check the site for a new version. This has happened before. Sometimes when Anet does an update, it changes something required to make the mod function properly. Just give him time to make an adjustment and post a new working version. No need to do anything else but wait.

Um, ya, I actually did read the error box. But if you had actually bothered to read previous posts, you would have seen that this error had occured before. I fixed it by using the -image command line and then re-installing the files to my gw directory. Problem solved. But it doesn't currently work the same way. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem and was able to fix it.

Still gives a message and even worse, now my GW crashes all the time. Don't install last version...
edit: Confirmed, after turning off the mod, everything works. Oh, and the sound file is corrupted. Anyone has the 2.1 version so I can install it?

The graphics mod should still work if you hit "Yes" on that box, but the update on May 8th, 2008 messed up something and the coding doesn't operate correctly anymore in KSMod. It shouldn't be much of a problem and the only effect is that the UT sounds won't work. It shouldn't effect the way GW runs either. We just have to wait for kuntz (who doesn't play this game anymore) to find time to update it or wait for someone else with knowledge of how this mod works to find a fix.

Hey guys, FYI someone has been trying to log into my Guru forum account (IP: 213.98.218.28) lately, so be careful what you download from now on that has my name on it, even if it's from this account. My password is strong, but you never know. I think I still have GW installed, so I'll try and update KSMod so it works again when I get some time. Always remember, the mod will just be a simple DLL & INI file, and the filesize of the DLL should never change from what it currently is (give or take 512 bytes). And it will NEVER be an EXE. And it wont be hosted on any other site/domain other then k-u-n-t-z.com
