I'll just stick to how I do things and solo farm via SoS with my 7 leeching alts.

Way to be a douche, if you actually watched the videos, he's not saying you can't use SoS or however you want, he's just showing you where he farms at and where you can too if you wanted.
The glowing hearts weren't hard to get, if you had to be a quality farmer to get them, get better.

At no time did I say I was a "quality farmer". In fact, I believe in one of the videos I described myself as a casual player.
When possible, I try not to use SoS and other novelty builds (55, terra, etc.) I do not make the videos to show the fastest way to farm, just the easiest place to do so. And when I say "Anyone can do this farm using pretty much anything" in a video, I'm using an unpopular farmer on purpose to prove my point.

Playing as a ranger as my main for 3 years, I've found that I don't need high amounts of health as I am a ranged profession, meaning I'm not taking the brunt of the damage. And the extra 30 armor against elemental damage prevents me from being spiked by most mobs that once-in-a-blue-moon attack the backline.
@Xiaquin
I did a few practice runs on 4 different professions to see which one I liked best. I have not been able to shoot the video as of yet though because I was a pallbearer at a funeral yesterday.

This week's video is up.
And I got it up before the folks at wiki could even find a place to farm. BONUS!

Pretty cool, I wouldn't have thought to actually farm the spiritwood but rather the wood and dust. Kinda neat though that only 3 drops will get you your Nick take.
I remember the old 55 troll farm outside of Drok's used to drop tons of raven staves and was real fast and I'm guessing vaettirs for dust? I'm not sure where people farm dust anymore.

Yeah...at first I thought I'd have to make a really long video showing 3 farms (spiritwood, woodplanks, and gilttering dust). But while running around doing practice runs at different places (because I had my video shot and uploaded 7 hours before guildwiki updated their farming page) I stumbled upon this area, which drops Spiritwood and also alot of items that can be salvaged into wood and dust.
The Kirin in the area can also drop Spiritwood, but they take significantly longer to kill and have a much higher rate to drop granite instead.
And for once, I actually posted my video on the discussion page (on wiki) for where to to farm and 7 hours later when they edit the page...the said to farm island guardians. I tried those before the other area...3x slower. Even on wiki they say its too slow.

Interesting idea, RedDog91. I'll remember this thread for when my regular farmer can't reach the current week's farming area. Thank you for the hard work.

I think this is a great idea!
Also, I'd be happy to help out. I usually do nick as soon as he's available, and therefore I'm often relying on my own creativity to come up with an efficient concept
I'll add your IGN when I get home, as I'm at college now . Also, here's two suggestions for your videos:
-Have you considered adding a guide in your video to get to Nicholas? Personally (also as primary Ranger) I'm a big fan of solo running, and I could definitely help out in gathering tips for getting to Nicholas every week, in a party/solo.
-Have you considered adding a guide for farming items for Pre-Searing Nick? I don't know if anything like that has been done before, but currently I'm also farming Nick in Pre every day, in order to get 150 gifts. With only 13 possible collectables, it would only take a two-part or three-part video to show the best locations for each collectable in Pre. These videos could probably be geared towards better time efficiency, since if you're farming Nick in Pre for longer periods of time (like me), it's useful to know how to minimize your time spent every day.
Either way, let me know what you think. I'll give you a PM in-game when I see you on. If you are interested in having me submit my tips and tricks on a weekly basis, let me know!

I've thought about it, but it would just make the videos way too long. However, I may make the run as a separate video and upload it as un-listed, then just put a link to it in the farm video.

I have given the idea some thought, but I am not a major pre-searing player. My little brother on the other hand, has spent alot of time in pre-searing, and once spent 2 months farming pre-gifts every day. I may be able to convince him to make the videos, as he asks me every time I'm filming if the next week he could do one.
I however, do not have the time to put into it, the few hours I spend each week on the videos are the few hours I have out of class (I am a college student, as you are)

Realised the Nick location thread was lacking a link to your guides, so I took the liberty of updating the OP there: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10369450

Video for this week is up.
If you missed it on page one, the link can be found here
Also, since most people are currently trying to get points for the HoM, you may find video for Spiritwood Planks helpful for getting a black moa chick. The planks are rarely in the trader's stock these past few days

Shadowy Remnants
EDIT:
OK, now it's really up. YouTube's video processing was down yesterday afternoon so the video didn't show up till about 1:00AM

Anyone interested on anything related to my novel can check its details and progress here.
I have no control over the deadline, but if I can keep my current pace then I'll be done well before my finals.

Guild Wars at the moment will take a back seat. I will still be on during the weekends and depending on how much time I have on Mondays i may still be able to keep up the videos.
Or, on weeks when I have no spare time, I may link to someone else's video should they choose to participate. Anyone interested in how that would work out if they want to help out can send me a private message here on the frums or through my youtube channel.

Thanks for posting the new video! You may want to change the title - it still says week of Nov 22.

...you're right.
For some reason it won't change..I've edited the original post 3 times now and it won't change it in the list of threads, yet it does change it when you're viewing the thread...even when I take the date out it's still messed up.
