You don't get luck points from keys...where did you hear that?
Only from retaining lockpicks

I guess that I misunderstood a post about opening "600g" chests.
Now you see why I need a decent guide

You use the lockpicks to open NM 600g chests (shiverpeak, vabbi, kurzick, EotN NM locked chests etc). There is a base 30% retention chance before your lucky and treasure hunter titles adjustment, so a semi decent chance of success for luck points.

Yep, and after you get your TH title, if you are still going for Lucky, you can do 50g chests in northern shiverpeaks for a 97% retention rate

what profession would be best for this?
Is it possible to do it on a monk or a paragon?

Doesn't matter what you use...Of course some professions may have perks, like if you are a monk, more groups will want you for missions, etc

Paragons should be quite easy to do this with. It is the profession I intend to go for with it. If you have factions you can get rank 1 into kurzick (well you'll max it according to the guide). Which gives you a very good save yourselves. Then you can use a save yourselves spammer build on paragon to easily vanquish and complete high end areas.

Saviour of the Kurzicks is an insane title; it's boring. Make no mistake about it, it's very very very repetitive. Even more so with herofff.
...Yet for some reason you list Gwen rep titles 3 or 4 steps later. I maxed two rep titles (Snowball farm, Magnus Stones runs) in a double weekend, spending a max of 6 hours on each, spread across a day. Months of casual FFF doing ~20k a day average and I'm still < r8 Kurzick, and completely bored of it.
GW should be fun, not a grind. Focus on titles you'd enjoy, and just do them in an efficient order.
And for goodness sake, try some pvp. Missing a whole side of gw. =)

This is a guide that explains how to achieve a title. It's not "This is how to play Guild Wars".
To the OP, Nice guide. Although some of it may seem a bit obvious to some, it certainly puts things into perspective. Cheers for this.

Interesting that you think the two are mutually exclusive.

Sorry to break it to you, but those are two separate things. Now let's not ruin this thread by trolling.

Ho ho ho, trolling? o0. Admirable bluntness.
My concern is simplyfor the well being of those with low self-control; one should play gw to have fun, even if your objective is also to achieve a title. If you're viewing getting a title as a chore, with no fun element, it's my recommendation that you should not be doing it at all.
This was brought up by the OP's recommendation to get a saviour title relatively early on, and I was merely disagreing and providing my reason. If you wish to get titles by going for the most repetitve grind-based ones available, please, be my guest.

Why would you tell people how they SHOULD play the game...
"Fun" has a different meaning for everyone so don't act like you know it better.
Although you are right about the fff, still for some people it could possibly be fun.

This makes me laugh.
I know for a fact that the writer of this "guide" does not have the max title but in fact is Elemental Labrat who has just used this to get his running service advertised.
Writing a guide when you havent done it is poor to start with,m but pretending to have got the title by hiding behind another name is even worse.
Don't believe me, then Im sure "Guides" will post a screenshot of his title.
this is not a Guide at all and shouldnt be considered as such.

Why would you have any reason to believe I am the same person as him.
I think its just another case of someone being unhappy about themselves and trying to take it out on someone else by accusing them of something they couldn't ever know
No clue where you got this idea, but believe whatever you want.
Im not him...or am I e_e lol
