I don't find it a huge deal, but I run in windowed mode, so if I run into the issue a minimize/restore to fix it takes about 2 seconds.

I am running into these problems hourly, and it's starting to get annoying now lol. Here are a few examples (resized)

Why can't these problems be fixed? Who made texmod and why isn't there an update to fix this?
|
Occasionally I believe while loading the textures and such, it accidentally loads another texture by accident that is similar or near it, possibly? If you notice, shadows always become the stupid square things which are very similar to the skill icons/bar area so maybe it accidentally loads that texture for em.
it's just a flaw in a program, I don't play GW with Shadows anyways (cause of texmod) so it doesn't ever screw up for me anyways.

It only ever does it immediately after zoning though, you should be able to minimize/restore as soon as you notice it, and before you 'engage' anyone, even in pvp.

It's not the fact that I lose concentration or unable to attack right away that's bothering, it's the fact that I have to keep minimizing/restoring all the time. I will put up with it for now but I hope someone can fix it.

Well seeing as Texmod hasn't been updated in two years, don't hold your breath. The guy that made it probably hasn't ever played Guild Wars anyway. If it's doing it that much, try disabling shadows like DarkNecrid suggested, see if that helps.

I paid a lot of money for my PC, it's a gaming PC. Graphics and visuals are very important to me (why do you think I am using your mod?). Guild Wars at it's maximum settings isn't anything special and I certainly will not turn off shadows. I want to improve the visual experience of Guild Wars, not lower it.
Can anyone take over texmod? Release a new version?

If I knew the persons username, or email I would surely ask him to release the source code.

Again, it hasn't been updated for 2 years so 2 things are likely:
a) he doesn't have it anymore anyways (reformatted pc, new pc, etc etc etc.)
b) he is dead and/or hiding and/or doesn't give a shit.
someone should make a better texmod...

If I was the creator of texmod and reformatted my PC, I would surely backup my creation. All that time spent just to lose it due to a format? If he is smart enough to make texmod, he is smart enough to backup.
Yes, I agree, does someone here have the ability to make a better texmod?

Could try to get in contact with Kuntz (guy that made the ut sounds/high res textures mods). If I remember right he was involved in making the original icy dragon sword hoax (before anet made it a real item) using a texture replacing program similar to texmod. Pretty sure he doesn't play gw anymore though, so not sure how receptive to the idea he'd be.

Hi, I already messaged Kunt0r yesterday requesting a draw distance extender mod. He replied saying he think he can do it but he is too busy. Count him out lol. Shawn, do you have the skills?

Christ no, I've never programmed anything in my life, not even gave it a passing thought before. If you think Texmod is bad, you'd soon see how good you have it once I finished making a progam..

But he hasn't updated it in 2 years, so he either no longer cares about his creation, or lost it.
I know people who have the ability to do such a thing, but there is no point. ALT-TAB is a minor inconvenience that takes the span of less than a second to do on even a remotely decent PC compared to the inconvenience of coding such a thing from scratch that would not only work with current texmod mods but also not be buggy, or the inconvenience of somehow reverse engineering the executable to do such a thing(this is illegal)
this is probably why no one has ever updated it

I have a problem when using Textmod, whenever I take screenshots which I have set to save in BMP then just save in the standard JPG format
Does anyone have a solution to this?

I am not sure how you would obtain the source code unless the developer gave you it. There is always the hard way *HINT* *HINT*. I am not good at coding but I can help you on the graphically side if you wish to try the hard way.

I just wanted to tell you that I love this UI mod. It is really pretty, and amazingly clean-looking. Great work.
The only thing is I really wish you would make a 50% health bar version since there's no way that I know of for me to make an edit of it since I don't have source files, and I'm really used to (and like) using mods that have that feature.
