I'm trying to ascend as a lvl 3 Me/N, can anyone help? People say all sacrificing spells is so easy, but the Doppleganger doesn't seem to kill himself with sacrificing spell. Keep in mind my damage is very low, and so is my Health (dead in 3 hits).

EDIT: Sorry for the double post, and I mdae it ^^ Level 12 now, time to get my FoW Armor :O

I just put this in someone elses thread about beating their necro dopple, but, I for my necro/mesmer, had Arcane echo,chillblains,awaken the blood and order of the vampire, the rst of my skillbar was empty. Soon as the battle started, I ran up to him with my Kole's torment, started wailing on him with the stick while he was doing...Arcane echo>Awaken the blood>Order of the Vampire after he casted orders, I stepped away from him and ran around, after I saw his orders run out, I went back to wailing on him with my Staff. Just rinse and repeat. The Awaken the blood+Order of the vampire should knock him out in about 3-4 uses if I remember correctly..adding in your own damage as well of course. Still got the bonus as well, had a tiny bit les than full health, and was level 16.

Equip all sacrefice health skills and watch as the Doppelganger literally kills themselves.

Not much to it.

I like your strategy, though.

I beat Doppelganger last night with my lvl 11 n/mo.

pick any attack skills. Preferably a skill that does damage but doesnt steal life. Then add healing breeze.

When the fight start cast healing breeze on yourself asap. Doppelganger doesn't use healing breeze at all.

Stay at a distance so he uses his bow all the time. press qeqeqeqeqeqeqeqeqeqeqe really fast to dodge his arrows (works very well).

cast your damage skills and reapply healing breeze when needed.

works perfectly. This could be applied to any monk primary or secondary prof.

As soon as you get in she casts Meteor Shower. Get closer and hit her with Crystal Wave (106dmg ignoring armor), then run away and keep casting Obsidian Flame (118dmg per hit ignoring armor). That's about it.

I used a strategy very similar to this last night and won in about 20 seconds. I filled my bar with useless buffs (atune water, atune fire, windborne speed, etc) and while he was casting that, I cast obsidian flame and crystal wave on him while up-close meleeing him. =)

i beat my monk doppelganger in 20 seconds in one go!!! i only used SoJ and balthasars aura... i couldnt believe it!!

LOL, that was to easy.. You guys are great with the tips. I think I beat 9 Sec's. I am an E/M and I went in with Inferno, Flame Burst, Meteor Shower and the rest was Heal Other Spells. I hit Metoer, Inf. Flame Burst, he ran 2 feet and I hit Flame burst bam Dead big time.

What about 55ing your doppleganger? Does he have your same armor too? If so then he wouldn't know how you use a 55 build.

For the ranger spites and use apply posin on the last stone works.
The monk one is the easiest.
Nero I with the sace hp I also used an ele armor of earth let him cast it to slow himself down and the last hits I used a touch spell to finsit it

Mo/Me VS DOPPLE
------------------ Minimal effort to get the skills (no need to buy, should already have these with hardly any effort whilst doin a few quests whilst rushing to this stage of the game)

I was lv15 with droks armor

Stats were - 3 Illusion, 7 Healing, 11 Smiting
Skills were - Healing Breeze, Symbol of Wrath, Zealots Fire, Retribution, and Imagined Burdon.

How i done this: As i entered i would cast Retribution, and once i activated the first 2 pads i would cast Zealots Fire, wait for half regen of energy, cast healing breeze, go on last pad and quickly skip cinematic.
Run up to dopple and quickly cast Symbol of Wrath next to him, then Imagined Burdon, and then quickly proceed back to the ramp like area so u can run around the entire large circle of the room, cast healing breeze before it runs out, this is important. with him taking damage from attacking you, you have no need to attack back, just keep your distance as much as you can whilst using Imagined Burdon as required along side with keeping up Healing Breeze up until you can recast Symbol of Wrath, get that down next to him as fast as you can, then run again.

Not long after the second Symbol of Wrath my dopple died, easily under the 50 seconds might need to try this a few times to get use to it... just a little thing i put together on my first few monk attempts, gl with this method if you choose to use it, though i know this build aint for everybody, just figured i'd contribute.

Aura of Restoration (cast it before u step on a last stone)
Meteor shower (cast it right away) and move towards him after u done casting
Flame Burst or Inferno
and u can finish him off with Fireball and maybe another flame burst or inferno
