Just killed her again with my W/Mo (what an unusual build )
- Savage Slash
- Seeking Blade
- Healing Signet
Strategy:
Hit, hit, hit, hit, savage slash (to interrupt healing), hit, hit, hit, hit

Okay, i have read through many ways to kill the Doppleganger but i have yet been successful with me new chara. She is a lvl 7 Mo/W and has 240 health. I wanted to know if there was anyway i can beat it. I tried several skill combos but none have been successful.

As a Necro take along "Awaken the Blood". That will be the first thing your dopple will use, making it so it loses double the percentage of health when using sacrifice skills.

My lvl 4 Mesmer just can't pull it off. I have Empathy, and that should work, but how in the world do I dodge his arrows? I't's just impossible.. And since I die in one hit (he deals 161+ damage, I've got 160 Health), I can't afford to get hit.

Easy to dodge. Beat him with my level 8 necro. Just run left / right until you see him nock the arrow, right after you see the animation, just switch opposite directions..

what worked for me for monk was reversal of fortune. You can spam it while the doppleganger does not know how to spam it.

the wmonk is easy, bring skills that require energy upkeep, and then bring skills that take a long time to cast. add your two warrior damage skill a last, then run up and chop him up( bring frenzy but dont use it)

What is your sub? Hope it's nec . Either way go with backfire as your main damage source...put Dom as high as you can. Give him a bunch of crap spells to keep him busy...when I killed him with my mez...lvl 13...(yea I know way over 4)...he never used a wepon once...killed him in under 20 secs...gonna push it a little bit and say 10sec.
He won't BF himself to death so use shattered delusions as the finisher. What is your armor btw? The damage is independent of your lvl and it seems your taking way too much.

I can't beat my doppleganger at all, I've been at it for at least 20+ tries now.
I'm a Mes/Mo, I really need some tips.
Oh I can't do the empathy/dodging trick, I get far too much lag spikes/delay to pull that off. :/

Another addition for anyone that has a Mo/Me. I defeated him with it in about 40 seconds only using empathy and diversion.
way to do it. before last pedastal to activate mesa, cast diversion and skip the scene. since diversion gives u a 75% chance to block, then cast empathy. cast diversion again and run back and forth dodging his arrows. keep casting diversion and empathy as needed. still had almost a full health bar left...
|
Yay that worked great, thanks

If you're anything Monk, primary or secondary, all you need is Scourge Healing and Orison of Healing. Period. 12 smiting, 0 everything else. Period. Max Smiting Rod from collector outside Elona. Period. Under 50 seconds every time. Period. If you don't have max desert armor and whine about getting your ass kicked, you don't deserve to ascend anyway. Period.
Warrior / Monk? Take Frenzy along too, and pump up your weapon attributes to use your melee weapon. 12 smiting, 0 everything else.
26 seconds. My best was 22 seconds. It's only as hard as you make it. Period.

Perfect Monk/Ranger strategy:
Here's how to defeat the Doppelganger as a Mo/R -
You should have at least 10 attribute points in Smiting Prayers, Healing Prayers and Divine Favor.
Your skill set should include: Life Attunement;Retribution;Symbol of Wrath;Healing Breeze;4x "BeastMastery Spirit Rituals" (e.g. Predatory Season, Symbiosis, etc)
Do NOT cast Life Attunement on yourself! Do not cast any of the "BeastMastery spirit rituals".
The Doppelganger will start by spending 20 seconds of his/her time by creating each of the spirits. While he/she is doing that, cast Retribution on yourself, then run up to the Doppelganger and use Symbol of Wrath when you are adjacent to him/her and the spirits, and couple that with attacking the doppelganger with a high damage weapon (bow suited for me). Symbol of Wrath should also be damaging the spirits. Once the Doppelganger has finished casting the spirits, he'll/she'll cast Life Attunement on herself about 2-4 times, then she will use Symbol of Wrath. DON'T PANIC, stay where you are; use Healing Breeze (even better if you start using Healing Breeze when the Doppelganger is casting Symbol of Wrath). The Doppelganger should be at about 20% health, so then keep bow attacking the Doppelganger and he/she should die.
I killed the Doppelganger in about 40 seconds with this strategy, which is reasonable for a monk.

22? With just Frenzy I usually get 18 or less.
Incidentally, since you're automatically enchanted when you go to fight the Doppelganger, it's not a bad idea to bring Enchant-based weapons and shields.
