Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
All the best

Does this work on a PC? This is more of an account issue so I cannot help much but I would make sure you remember your character name correctly. If they are linked, the email and password should be the same as GW2 as you say.

Update!
So I found it necessary to come back to the mac client. Because of this I have updated it to a degree that I find very much acceptable as a replacement for loading a windows installation via bootcamp.
This version is using the latest wineskin version (2.6) as well as the latest version of the CrossOver wine edition. I have also added tweaks reccomended on various sites to remove stuttering and other issues.
The result is very nice, the framerate is equivalent to a windows installation, which is better than any other previous version, and it supports anti aliasing among other graphical options.
There are some texture issues, one that I found is the tar texture in ascalon seems to be glitched out, I am sure there are more.
Also, it does not like to be fullscreen, I dont know if this is a wine issue, or rather an issue with os x yosemite, input on this matter would be appreciated.
Enjoy, please post any issues you have with the app.

Feedback for Guild Wars Wineskin 2015 ver. 2.6
Hardware: MacBook Air (mid-2011) 13" i5 Sandy Bridge 1.7GHz, 4GB RAM, Intel HD3000
OS: OS X Yosemite 10.10.3
Previous Wineskin version was one back in mid-2014.
Pros:
Loads extremely quickly - at par with Windows client. Previous version took like 5-10 secs for GW logo to appear and connect to server.
Able to alt-tab out now more quickly without causing slowdown to system.
Full screen
Frame rates improved
Overall, much more responsive and less laggy
Cons:
Cannot increase resolution greater than 1152x720, even if offered other higher/lower resolutions.
Some log in sessions, mouse cursor keeps disappearing/re-appearing.
Question:
Each time with new Wineskin release, have to download all data files again?

You can open up the wineskin wrapper, take out the dat file (thats where the heft of the data is) and then place into the new wrapper in order to avoid redownloading the dat file every version.
But I do not know if ill make any more versions myself, my advice is to download the wineskin winery, and update engines/wineskin yourself, it is really easy and will not overwrite the dat file.

Hey there!
I really appreciate what You've done. But I dont know what to do with 2015. Previouses just demanded to be pasted into application folder. This one doesn't even open. There's an alert "You can't open "Guild Wars"" and I have no idea how to fix it?

It is a .dmg file, running mac os x should be able to handle the file easily.
Normally, you double click the dmg file, which will cause a drive to be mounted to your system. Click that drive, and a window with the app will pop up, then drag and drop the application to your applications folder, or wherever else you want to put it.
Recent versions of macintosh by default do not allow you to "install" apps that are not from within the app store. To change this, go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy > General Tab > Allow Apps Downloaded From:, then selecting "Anywhere".
If that does not fix it for you, I will create a zipfile version of it.

Hey there,
I tried to download yesterday and ran into the same issue. My mac had an issue with the security/privacy. So, I changed it to allow apps from anywhere, but it still wouldn't work. It wouldn't even give me an error message anymore. Just nothing.

Hi i just downloaded the mac client for GW, looks beautiful and everything almost works. Except i have problems when i click on my right mouse button. If i hold it nothing happens, i can rotate my camera very slow. The moment i release it, it just goes to an entire different angle? Don't know if this is a problem with my mouse or the client? Would like to get some help to get this sorted out.

Broken on El Capitan :(
I know "El Capitan" is still in beta but it is pretty solid as far as I can tell. I would love to get this running on my machine but I can't seem to get, not only this Guild Wars wrapper, but any wrapper running in "El Capitan". It seems as though it has something to do with the new "rootless" boot flag and the new security measures apple introduced with 10.11

I have the same problem as Supremo. The game can't be opened, not even with the zip-file. I have a mac mini, with a 3 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB 100 MHZ DDR, Intel Iris 1536 MB.
I'm trying to run the file on OS X 10.10.4 after dragging it to Programs, but it gives the alert: 'The program Guild Wars cannot be opened.' (I did allow installing applications from anywhere.)
It also won't open Wineskin (it gives the same alert).

This is how I fixed it:
I downloaded Wineskin Winery from here. I opened it, clicked on WS9Wine1.7.47 and installed it. You always want the one on top of the list. Then I clicked on 'Update' and Wineskin Winery will ask to install version 2.6.0. After that I clicked on 'Create New Blank Wrapper'. I gave it the name 'Guild Wars' and it starts installing. It will ask to View it in Finder, that's what I did. With the left mouse button I clicked on Guild Wars and then clicked on Show Contents. I opened Wineskin, clicked on 'Set Screen Options', Override, Virtual Desktop at (any resolution lower than your own). For example: my screen is 1920x1080, so I used 1680x1050. Then I clicked on 'Use these settings' and 'done'.
Then you're ready to install Guild Wars. I clicked on 'Install Software', and then on 'Choose Setup Executable'. First I downloaded the .exe client file on here. I've put that somewhere I could find that and opened the file in Wineskin. Then clicked on 'Ok' and it started downloading.
Now I'm testing how that works out for me. At least I am very glad that I could install (and play) it in this way.
One thing happened to me: I used the 'cmd'-button to see where the Xunlai Chest is for example, and wanted to walk there with 'W'-button. Then it'll close your game, because cmd+W means on my Mac: close window.
Tip: I used this youtube guide. The difference for me was the client file.

Reporting in from basic 128GB configuration of 2015 MBP Retina 13". I am running OSX 10.11 El Capitan.
For my GW client I am just running the "Guild Wars Wine.zip" application that KAOS posted on the first post on this thread. (159MB). The 2015 edition he posted doesn't work for me. Here is the link to that if anyone needs it. It should open up a media fire page with several downloads but choose the 159MB "Guild Wars Wine.zip" file. Just drag that file into your applications and then double click it and it should work perfectly as long as you have Wine separately installed from here.
I do get an error message that says "Application x11 could not be loaded" but if I ignore it and wait for like 7 seconds GW pops up regardless as long as I don't close the error message.
It works full screen and at full resolution which is nice, but I have to choose a lower resolution than fully supported because otherwise the in-game interface appears too small.
Sometimes I run into extremely slow download speeds (like 1-2Kbps) and tbh I don't know why this is happening but I think it's on the server's end. I've heard of a few other players dealing with this issue also. If i just wait a long time or reopen the client a few times then usually it ends up working out.
One thing that is really baffling me is why my Texmod isn't working. On Yosemite Texmod worked fine if you would just run Wine in the background then double click Texmod.exe ...then just navigate to your GW.exe file within Texmod and select your mods. It was always really simple and tbh it's still ALMOST working on El Capitan, the game opens normally and it allows me to log into my character select but then when I try to load any character it just never connects to the server. It's really frustrating because Texmod is working and it can connect to the login server and my mod is loaded but for some reason it's just not letting the actual game run .
But the unmodded GW.exe runs perfectly if I just ignore the "X11" error message at first.
