New version out!
Anti-Aliasing now works! Along with other graphical fixes.
To update, download the wrapper, then put in your .dat file in place of the one already there.
See video to see where the .dat file is on your system.

Hmm, normally you would have to press shift for the channels to appear. So I don't think its a problem with the game. Its just that the program itself is holding down shift for those buttons for some reason. Try holding shift then hit 1-5. Or more so, refresh the wrapper by right click on the app and show package contents. Click on Wineskin.app, advanced, tools, then refresh wrapper.
Keep me posted on what happens.

Great Work!
I just wanted to thank you for this wrapper. It saved me a lot of time and frustration in doing it myself.
Running good on an old macbook. Had to turn off shaders and dx9 to get the speed up, but it's running great.

Engine Choice
Which engine is better? Currently, the most current versions are WS8Wine1.3.36 and WS8CXG10.1.1.

So far in my testing WS8Wine1.3.36 is extremely buggy, but it can do anti-aliasing. Its what I used in the 1.3 beta version.
WS8CXG10.1.1 is a reliable backup, there are no major bugs in it. Its the same engine Crossover Games uses, but there isn't much development happening on it.
For now I would stay with CXG10.1.1, but if you want to try and debug Wine1.3.36, feel free, you can always go back.

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought the crossover engine was less buggy too. I wonder why they don't update it ever.

New beta version up!
Uses the latest wine engine, much more stable than the first beta, however it still has bugs.
If you are really looking for the least amount of bugs, stay with 1.2. However, you will not be able to use anti-aliasing.
Have fun.

I'm having a graphics issue when observing or while in guild halls. Sometimes colors fly everywhere (literally a cluster cuss of colors) and I can't move my cursor, and I have to minimize to make it go away. It isn't every time. Other times it's just minor bugs like text messing up when a team captures the flag stand. Almost exclusive to guild halls or observer mode. Once or twice in RA.
I don't know why it would be my graphics card, my macbook pro has a GeForce 9800M. My FPS ranges from 70-120.
Edit: Using the older version seems to have fixed the problem

Yes, the old version is much more stable for most people.
I think the reason for it is because the newest version of wine enables multisampling, which allows for Anti-Aliasing. But it creates ALOT of graphical bugs. So its really whatever version works better for you.
Personally the new version has very little graphical issues on my Macbook.

The client downloads itself, no CD required. Just download, drop into apps, and run it, the client will do the rest.

GwDressUp et. al.
Do you have any tips on how to get mods such as GwDressUp to work in the skin? I made a custom EXE using the creator, and pathed it to the mod GwDressUp.exe that I put in my skin's program files folder. All it does is quit out of Guild Wars when I try to open it.
Is it because my GMA 950 graphics card doesn't support dx9? I tried it with and without the -dx8 command, and no luck either way.

I've been trying this too, so far in my view I dont know if its possible. I believe it is because the custom EXE runs the app, just with different settings. Because of this, opening gwdressup, then opening The GW client will shutoff GW dressup and open the GW client, due to you not being able to run the same app twice (to my knowledge).
There may be a workaround, I remember being able to use gwdressup with the client once on my mac, don't remember what I did though. I'll keep you posted.

Is there also any way to -image the intire game? I need to download 30K files which will easily take an hour or 2, but because I can't tab out, it's kinda annoying not being able to use my mac for 2 hours
Good job though!

For Minimizing:
Yes, it will black the screen out when you minimize sadly, at least for me, when i double click the GW icon in the bottom left, it goes back in. But yes, in general, stay away from that button
I havent tried this myself, but if it happens again, try hitting "Command+Alt+A" may help.
For the Image command:
If you downloaded 1.3, then simply go the app, right click, open package contents, and open the Image app. That will image it for you.
If not, then you want to hit the wineskins app instead, go advanced, and in EXE flags, put -image. Run the app, take it out when done.
