Inns as Outposts
It's been said a few times that indoor content will likely be a major feature of the first expansion. Though the main game isn't even out yet, it can't hurt to get a few opinions, so I wonder what people would think of certain outposts being large inns, once indoor areas like this are added? I think it would be fun and really atmospheric to come across the occasional roadside inn while wandering through an explorable area, and enter it to find dozens of other players milling around.

I like this idea/suggestion LH! Yeah traveling through the wilderness to find an INN. As you go inside see other adventurers. Also have an NPC or two in there selling different items, possibly? Maybe they are offering different quests you can embark on? Some quest may require other players to join you or quests you can do on your own.

I love the idea, but I do worry that it'll just turn into yet another place for people to try and buy/sell their stuff, spamming the screen to death...

I dont see why an Inn would be any worse for this than the current outposts. If anything an Inn is the most common area of congregation, they are great places to socialise and have fun. Inns would be a more natural and realistic resting point then we have currently i feel, as they would stand tall in explorable areas.
Maybe there could be a few which were not shown on the map and could only be stopped at on your way through large areas, so if you began with henchmen you could visit the inn and find some real companions, or if someone in your party has died you can find some more people from those who have also taken a stop there. I have always wished that there was a way to make explorable areas busier... i guess i would like to meet other players during my travels but as that isnt going to happen wouldnt Inns or Outpost towers be a great way to do this?

I'm not too worried about the buy/sell spam. ArenaNet has said more than once that they intend to either implement a trade channel, or some other form of trade-specific system to deal with this in the not-too-distant future.
All an inn would really be, is just another outpost with a different visual style. Instead of being portrayed as a town, it would be portrayed as the interior of an inn. It would be all about a change of atmosphere, and nothing more.

"Am I getting drunk?! Roll the dice to see if I'm getting drunk!"
*ahem*
Yeah, a few extra little things like a bar and being able to sit in chairs and such would be cool, for areas like this.

If we have our own copy of the quest map shouldnt we not see neone?
i think that this would be a good idea but i think we should be able to go talk to ppl even on a quest. i think they should be like on the busiest routes so we can get more ppl in there, and i think they should have them marked on the map to get more ppl again, but like put a sign on the door to the inn sayind like no spamming. lol and like if they spam like have a granny with a cane come over and wak them lol yah i think im gettin a lil umm wats the word un realistic but itd be funny.

That's genius. Forget dueling, this is the best idea for 1 vs 1 combat that I've seen on these forums.
