Ranks and explorable areas
Im fine with what Guild Wars has for now. But if i were in Arena.net i would ass more ranks. Lets see...
Leader
Officer
Member
Thats just now enough. When people are really helpful and are good players - you promote them. But then you will have 20 officers. I don't like that. Considering that officer has almost as much power as the leader. Except Officer cant kik leader or other officers.
The really should make more ranks. I dont know what the ranks should be...novice, recruit, whatever. But more ranks is really needed.
I know some people. They like GW and bying it. However most of the people i know dont like Explorable area too much. and i kinda agree with them. Explorable area where only you and your party can be is good. but, they also should have some "free for all" area with monsters. Like Knights Online, RYL, RYL2, and WoW do.

Free for all areas defeat the purpose of these exploration ones, you go in unprepared and undirected basically, sitting around waiting for monsters to respawn, but then you are still in a district so it is just technically a much larger party, and I don't want them to remove any of the current ones since they span almost literally the entire world, creating the same, worn out camping spots puts it back with other games and has no real necessity when it will be district'd, just meet with groups in cities and you'll experience the same but better.
As for more ranks, there is never a necessity to do this, all of these other ones just create a stupid hierarchy, and no decent guild just promotes masses to officer or anything else. Solid members who deserve to have rights over others is what gets it, and even in guilds with literally hundreds of people (actual ones, not just alts), I don't think I've ever seen 20 officers. And no one cares about promotions, at least they shouldn't, if you haven't been with or done enough with the guild, you're a member, simple as that, there is no real reward for it, not in a good guild. If you're an officer, that means you better attend guild functions, act as a leader for people, talk with the leader or go about it very carefully inviting or removing people.

hmmm. Maybe you could assign command chains.
So new recruites would go under Officer X's chain of command. Then Officer X could promote within, and put forth members to be promoted to Officer, etc.
