Aside from the usual trade spam, the global channel seems to be used mainly for finding parties. Adding another channel would be pointless.

Or how about some button in the Quest Log that you click -- while that specific quest is highlighted -- to get the attention of people that also have the current quest you want to complete and maybe, party with you. o_O

General chat is just that, general. That its used mostly for 'LFG' argues strongly that there should be a dedicated channel.
Good suggestion.

i like this suggestion. Usually you can't find an answer someone has told you to that query you had on runes, for example, because of "E/Mo LFG!" and this is spammed nearly as much as trade.
It would be much easier to search for someone to do "Blood and Smoke" with you amongst 3 different LFG requests than amongst LFG AND queries/answers. And less annoying for those people who are just hanging out in a town as you could then turn off all the group requests.

I'd rather have a search window that displays people who are looking for a party in that district. IE: Peopl have a button that can toggle, letting other people know they are looking for a party, and for what reason too (they could say have a sentence to type in what they want to party for.)
This would be fantastic to have. Really.

Coh had the the best lfg system . It would be nice to have a lfg button to use, I think if they do have that you should be able to search all the different shards of the city/outpost your in. Of course I think it should be automatically turned off once your on the mission map thou.

I think it would be great to have a separate channel...
Sure, you could always use general chat, but there is usually a lot of crap in there, and people cannot distinguish from possible parties to someone calling for a nude dance by the fire
