Excelent Enhancements to the game since the last BWE. I especially like the Buy/Trade chat window.
I agree with those above me who have stated that a LFG channel would be nice to have as well. It would make putting groups togeather for missions less annoying... and less annoying when you are trying to sell some junk and people keep inviting you to join their group.
I think the Economy still need a little bit of tweaking... here is what I thought of:
Weapons-
Smiths should make weapons that are WORTH buying with High damage and One standard modifier (like Casting speed using Fire magic or something) and no Slavagable modifiers (like pommels and such), but make them really expensive (100, 500, 1500, 3000+ Gold) and difficult to get materials for (50 wood planks, 100 shells, etc). I have only ever switched weapons 3 times in both beta weekends I have played because the damage outside of spells is just laughable.
Armor-
I think that the armor needs to be retooled a little bit too. I had 30 armor almost the entire time, then pretty much jumped straight up to 60... which I found right after I found and bought the 39. Maybe move the higher armor more towards the end, or put the 39 a little earlier. Again, make the expense high so people have something to strive for (It didnt seem like much of an accomplishment to upgrade from 39 to 60 when I just got 39 in the last town). Also, ramp up the materials needed to make armor. 45 cloth for one garment seems a little paltry when I had over 300 by that point.
I aslo think Necros and Monks deserve a little more armor, since they dont do much direct damage. And Necro armor should do different things rather than just looking different. Come on... that's just a little... I dont want to say lazy, but I guess I just did. It would also be interesting to see that each peice of armor that gives you a boost in one attribute lowers it in others.
Misc-
IMHO, every "Reagion" should have some sort of town or check point. EAs are booring if there isnt some place to go or something to do.
A GREAT option would be Semi-Transparent or Translucent windows in game - Like the party list and minimap. They take up a lot of space at 1024x768 and it would be nice to see through them a little bit. I still think there should be Mana indicators on the list because freaking warriors keep running off when everyone is "healed" but I still only have half my Mana.
One thing I also noticed is that the Autorun wont stop if you are in range to cast a spell. That got me killed a couple times.
It would also be cool if some spells like Meteor and Fireball had graphics like Firestorm does - that one you know what it is and you can see it.
*Edit - Other things. It would be nice to switch targets mid-cast, especially for high cost spells, because you lose Mana immedialty when the cast begins and if they die and the cast fails, you lose it. Or at least make it cast on that location because Meteor shower costs 25 and if the guy you cast it on dies before you finish, you are out 25 Mana. Oh, and meteor or anything that knocks down your opponnents should also interrupt casts/preperations.
Oh, and I liked the older crafting window better - I like to see what I am buying - Especially with my new Necro Build... since there isnt any difference in Armor. :P

My first beta weekend. I enjoyed it immensely. Right now I'm suffering from Guild Wars withdrawal. But there were a few things that I thought could make the game better, the first being the most important:
1. It's too difficult to find players within the game. There's too much "Where are you?" and "I can't find you" which takes away from playing time, and makes the game more work and less fun. A party member stops to drop stuff from their inventory to make room for a new item, and suddenly the rest of the party is off the radar. Fustrating. It's also hard to add certain people to your party at places like the Abbey when you can't find them amongst the crowd.
When friends/guild members are online, instead of just saying "online" say their location within the world. If they're at a home site, specify the district. Divide the local area map into sections. So-and-so is in The Catacombs, H5. Then players know exactly where their party members are, and they can say "Meet me at B3." Enemys are red dots. NPCs are green dots. Make players another color. Make pets another color. (This stuff is especially important for Guild Wars, which stresses interaction with other players.)
My other suggestions, in no particular order:
2. I was typing a lot of "Did you do the quest where...?" "You need to speak with... I forget. Go to... er, can't remember." Log completed quests. The name of the quest. Where the quest began. Who gave you the quest. How much XP you earned. Etc. You should be able to see what quests your friends/guild members have completed, so you can instantly know what quests are available to do together.
3. Have the option of turning that arrow ON. Default should be OFF. The arrow makes completing quests way too easy most of the time. No arrow means more free exploration.
4. Practice PVP. Guild members should be able to fine tune their gaming skills by playing against EACH OTHER in training arenas. It would be fun to enter PVP battles against your fellow guild members, and this would help guilds identify weaknesses in their strategies.
5. One person suggested a "follow" function. That's a great idea. Most of the weekend I followed a friend around the game world. It would have been easier on my hands and wrists for the game to just let my character automatically follow hers.
6. I like the idea of random parties. Instead of "Does anyone want to go to...?" you can just add your name to a queue and when three other members join the queue, you're off. A good way to instantly game with new people, and keep the game moving forward. Have the game try to create parties of mixed classes.
7. Instant commands. Make it possible to assign commands/requests like "Wait" "Follow me" "I need a healer" "I need backup" to keys, and if possible, in full audio, rather than text on the screen, which can be easily missed in the middle of combat. (And speaking of sounds, I'd also like more enviromental sounds.)
8. When a party member is casting a spell, have it indicated on the screen somewhere what spell they are casting.
9. Stats at the end of missions and PVP battles. Most kills. Most damage inflicted. Most healing. Most gold found. Most supportive player. Most valuable player. Total time elapsed. Total XP earned.
10. I also liked someone's idea of facial hair. Also, allow tattoos. Pre-made, and custom/imports.
11. Some of the missions are too long, and become too stale. Once you've killed ten groups of Charrs, you don't need to kill another twenty.
12. I played as a Ranger because the appeal of it was having a pet. I didn't like having one fewer skill than my teammates because I was required to have "Charm Animal." Remove the requirement and let Rangers decide when they want their pets to go with them on a quest.
13. More lore. Some of the statues you can click on and see "scriptures" but I didn't get a feeling of a rich world. More towns. More townsfolk to interact with. BUILDINGS TO GO INSIDE.
Yeah, that would be a good start.
-- Bullock
EDIT:
14. Custom skill sets. You can configure your skill bar and organize it the way you want (with skills in the order you need for pulling "combos") then save it with a custom name. Then before battles or exiting into the game world for questing, you can click a button and rotate through your skill sets for the eight you want at that time. This would eliminate a lot of re-configuring and expedite things. (A more valuable feature for players with dozens of skills to sort through.)
15. What about increasing the skills allowed from eight to ten but making the last two "rares" and each only usuable once per PVP match/once per entry into the world? When playing the beta I was thinking "I like the sound of this skill, but I can't afford to equip it at the expense of a skill I *know* already works for me." (This way you could equip two skills to TEST and see what they're like before adding it to your regular eight.) And then, there are other skills that seem fun, but only usuable in rare instances. (Like, as a Ranger, I'm not sure how often I'd use the Barbed Trap. Maybe ONCE per PVP battle?)

May I just say first of all, this game got me hooked, and I'm glad I got it for the last BWE...so anyways:
- I would like to see for the Ranger class, once you charm the animal and you have it, you don't still need the "Charm Animal" skill it in a way gives everyone else 1 extra skill
- I would also like to see that if you start going into different cities with a party that you are still in that party. I disliked having to keep finding my friend and others to re-add them into the party.
Well those are just minor things I could not think of anything else, not really any flaws in my opinion. Well now you guys are taunting me with not being able to play until that 2-days before thing. I WANT TO PLAY!!!!

The biggest thing for me was Maintained Enchantments. If I was maintaining Enchantments on several players there was no quick way to tell which Enchantment was on which player. If each Maintained Enchantment Icon had the Number of the player it was cast on, that would make it much easier to see which ones could be cancelled, or just got dispelled and needed to be recast. Also a keystroke that could be used in conjunction with the "Target Party Member" to cancel a Maintained Enchantment would be very helpful, or change the display so they can be cancelled easier. I had quite a problem cancelling them, maybe because I run at 1600/1200, but I had to get the mouse just right to cancel an Enchantment. I think even cancelling with right click instead of double-click would be easier, but having a mappable button would be best. Also a way to keep the player list and spell list close together on the UI. Everytime I saved this it moved the player list back to the default location. Thanks for listening, and awesome game!

Hey Gaile! I haven't read through this entire thread, so some of my suggestions may have been brought up already...just think of that feature being more wanted!
I've been playing GW as often as possible ever since "E3 for Everyone" and let me say that it is an awesome, awesome game. Here are some of my suggestions...note that obviously, not all should be even considered until the next expansion pack.
- The ability to whisper/chat with all officers of a guild rather than talking to each one individually or letting all the members hear.
- What ever happened to PMs while people were offline? As I recall, they could've been implemented better before (maybe a message could pop up saying that you have new private messages?) but at least they were there.
- The /roll command can't be filtered. There was a person spamming the chatbox with rolls so I couldn't read messages from my guild members. Worst of all, the text for both is in green. :P The guy spamming was nice and all--don't get me wrong--and he stopped when I asked him to.
- It'd be nice to have more ways to tell the stats of items so the trade portion of the chat could have less "WTS RARE longbow of teh dead 14-20 dmg +1 blood magic +1 energy regen!!!!11" I hate to bring WoW into this since GW and WoW are totally different games, but the ability to Ctrl+click on an item to have it appear in the chatbox where people could click on it to see its stats exactly as they were presented by the developers was really useful.
- What happened to Rurik's health bar? I was replaying a level with one of my guildies and Rurik ran off while we were occupied with some monsters...we didn't know what hit us when we all suddenly died.
- The leader of the party should have access to a checkbox so, when checked, every member of their group could invite other players. Too often, I'm searching for a monk and my teammates are left with nothing else to help me besides "following" someone to tell me their name so I can search for the toon. :S
- I figured this would be implemented by now, but all the clearish banners in your guild hall? Why don't they depict your guild symbol?
- This would probably be a suggestion for future expansion packs, but it would be really cool to be able to purchase enhancements for your guild. They don't need to be anything major--even decorations like rugs would work well--but the bigger, the better. Purchasing NPCs like archers or warriors, adding healing springs, etc. would be great even if they cost a ton of gold...improvements like these would offer something to do with a guild's accumulated gold and would certainly add longetivity and would keep player interest in the game.
- What happened to the morale boost cap? Wasn't it at 40 or 50% before? In the last beta, the max was 10--drastically changing strategy and encouraging opponents to go completely defensive (since the flag stand hardly mattered). This resulted in long guild battles.
- It'd be nice to be able to add space to your vault--I really like the idea though!
- There should be a guild chest of sorts that stores accumulated guild money and items. I guess there should be different levels of access for different chests...like, one is open for everyone, another is open only to officers and the guild leader, etc. A Tale in the Desert II did a good job at this.
- It'd be really cool to build your own guild hall (or at least customize it more). I realize that this feature isn't feasible until future expansion packs.
Phew, that was a lot. Thanks for reading it all--viva la Guild Wars!

party size suggestion
Increase party sizes to a possible 8 everywhere based on party member levels.
post-sear ascalon currently has a max party size of four and henchmen here are level 3, if the entire team members are lower than 3 they should be able to make bigger parties.
cant remember exactly but i think not till piken square party size increases to 6 and henchmen are level 6, so <level6 people should be able to party as a group of eight.
if not for survivability then for the social.
I had a load of friends playing the april beta together and it was frustrating doing the storyline mission with a group of 4, making them wait going back through the same mission with the next group all the way through till we could finally get to a party of 8 and actually all play pve together. Would have been nice not to have played instensively for an entire day before we could all be together levelling at the same rate.
oh and balance the academy, 2v4 is not a good way to promote pvp

1. Add a map to catacombs. That place is so confusing and I can never get through there.
2. Add collision with teamates; I was in the mountian area and there were 3 warriors standing on 1 spot.
3. Change a couple skills to be effected by a different class. For example: immoltion arrow could be effected by fire magic. The thing is limiting it to only a few skills and letting it have only a minor impact on those skills.
4. A few of the items from collectors need to be improved. The Long sword in Yak's bend does 10-14 dmg +8 armor v. dwarfs while the axe is the same price and only does 5-8.
5. Add more map animation; I didn't get a chance to check out the final closing of the BWE event but I watched a video of it and it was awesome. I havn't noticed any map effects besides rain and snow while playing normally.

ok a few things
can you please make it so when an enemy attacks you automatically start attacking him, that way when your done killing one enemy and another starts attacxking you you can start in on him or the closest nearest creature attacking you
also can you make it so when i turn off the emote channel that i cant see peoiple rolling dice?
also some of the later msisions are a little hard, even with full groups its long and you can get easily overwhelmed, like the frostgate missions or the gates of kryta mission.
and i know someone mentioned this somewhere before but why does gold drop on the ground? were just gonna pick it up no matter what, a little message displayed saying how much gold you gained would be nice, not "your party shares" such and such gold.
same thing when your in groups with other players, that way people don\t bitch hey i should get that item i killed the creature my wholeself, and then beg me to buy it or demand that i give it to them.
and please make it so we can trade mroe than 6 items at a time i nthe trade window, and increase the vault size, thats a small vault for 4 characters to share...
those are my only real gripes
ty for a great game
*edit* can you please syop creatures from spawning right on top of the rez points? even tho we take 0 damage for like 10 seconds its not enough, especially later in the game where creeatures can kill you in like 5 seconds.

ok since i can oonly have 1 post.. gotta write everything i know...or else no one will ever see it again..
First -
on quest items sorta like the beutiful feather you get it would help if a net put a small description pointing u out in the right direction that it is used for.. i mean what does gwens thread thing shes gives u for?? or the beutiful feather???at least put little descriptions pointing us out in the rigth direction.
maybe jumping alittle like those tiny little edges that are really fustrating that u get stuck on at least like those little 1/2 foot edges... that u automatically jump or somthing??? i dunno
maybe it could be cool if u custimized ur hirelings skills atributes
omg need larger variety of animals ...
i tried to get the frikin bear and i found out an HOUR after that u cant... thats just mean u put a black bear out in wilderness thats just calling to us and yet we cant charm.. i want more charmed animals
Also the animals that u use still suck...they die in like 3-4 hits of a average person custmized animals would be funny.
buying a pet could be cool. the pets could be more useful for some reason when ever i had a pet he would ONLY attack the unit i was attacking. Also i wish u could charm moss spiders and that stupid rabit at the top of the hill....
what does the small girls cape do???? as i said give some description on at lesat what it does ... i bought it for 200 bucks and the girl took it and nothing happended...
huh i saw some guy talking in that intro i think some weird gltich or somthing i dunno weird...
it would be REALLY cool if your ranger could somehow go into ur animal and u instead of being ur char be ur animal so u would have a more controoled thing of ur attacks... it would be really OCOOOOLLCOOCLCOCLCOCL thats all i have to say about that...
maybe cetain spells that target things like death nova could sorta switch targets... like my necro i was pulling death nova on all my minions and noticed none except one of them actually exploded... i made like 7 of em and 1 exploded... how useless.. its sorta confusing to target all ur minions.. u never know whihc one has it on him at least if u dont put a automatic targeting system for it that scools throguht the targets u havnt done, then at least puta thing where when u put mouse on it that it says if it has nova on him o not...
i have noticed the smites cant kill nottun... i maxed out smites... and thought it would be good it does 50 damage... at maxx and does likie 1/90 of a milimeter damage...maybe up the smites .
Also it would good if u organized the skill thing for when u lok at all the skills u have boughten or gotton from the premade gusy its very hard to tell whihc from which, like maybe if ucould write somthing like section beastmastery, or expertise, death magic or somthing would help alot..
hmm thought that the boen thing that has long ranged has maybe to high cost... but dunno. maybe its even?
maybe more types of henchmen or be able to hire multiples of the same type of henchmen like 3 monks 2 warriors. also howcome theres no necro or mesmer henchmen they are really needed.
it would be useful for f list if u could write the persons char name OR the account because my friend i wanted to get his account to put on... and i dont know his phone number or notton and couldnt contact him because i coukdnt get his char name, but i had his account name...
it would be more ethical if ur char runs faster down hills.its sorta weird when u see ur guy sorthigh humping down the hill although he should be running for his life (from the BEARS that i couldnt char)
what about body shaped custimization!!!!fat skinny??
hmm some more ranger techniques that could benifit ranger/w combo i was testing it out it worked good but then i tested w/r and it prevailed MUCH
Dunno prob sounds dumb because w is the melee and r is sniper, but i like ranger/ w melee its so fun but it sucks compared to w/r and even w/r the only useful skills are pretty much lightinnig reflexes whihc takes like along time to reload...; so sorta useless in a big battle cause only last for like 5 sec. and apply poisen whihc doesnt help mcuh, i mean sure it kills units thaty are almost dead, but i mean they are about to die anyway... and uses up a nother skill.
it would be ethical to be able to show off ur animals in ur guild hall. i mean it IS ur guild hall why should there be restrictions...there
MORE THINGS IN GUILD HALLS... so boring there waiting for friends to come together and play most of the time only 1 of my friends is on at once... i mean theres a huge open place , and well no one really cares if u ''loose'' land because its not like ur gona explore or look around there anyways. so dull..
More types of guild battles(ctf )(elimation..) more randomized plying fields i only got to play on my own hunte ground and why were we ALWAYS the defenders?
More places to release ur animal i dont wanna walk all the way out to release my pet when theres a even better one right b4 u...
lower inflation... why does scavanged kit cost 100 bucks... maybe lower the money i liked it better the way it was at Feb Beta the money system.
MORE TyPES OF REWARDS FROM QUEST
i mean the only thing i got was 250 exp and the bear one well i got 100 exp from each bear anyways... so 250 is sorta uselesss the only good quest that i liked was the pig one that gave u 25 gold... more gold in quest would help or items, dunno.
still many strange glitches... i know urll working on it.
maybe interaction type emotes. like /kickknee kicks other players knee /kicktree kicks tree stubs toe? for fun... it would be cool if there were still mroe interactions with objects. who doesnt want to throw a rock that u find off the ground at ur friends head..?
i am very afraid that many people are going to be unattraracted to this game because of some of its stricter type of game modes..
it neess ot be more free, more fun stuff to do, not just quest and dueling, after awhile people are gona get tired of it and will want different things to do
i feel it really needs better quest situations and rewards...
i am REALLY afraid... alot of its subjects will turn away because its so strict on many things... really needs to loosen up some things make more open.
sorta confusing...huh.
well needs more things to do...
Still MUCH so i will be expanding this post since u cant write multiples...

sugestion(s)
Game suggestions, listed simply... Might be repeats...
- DYES I really liked the idea someone posted about dye mixing, just drop red, yellow, blue, white, and black dyes. Let players mix them to make our own options. Blue+Yellow = Green, Green+Blue - Cyan, adding white or black, makes color lighter or darker... etc
- MACROS There needs to somehow be custom hotkeyed macros in the game. Maybe default them to the number pad, yet make them remapable.
- SKINS Having the ability to re-skin your interface is becoming a tradition for most programs lately. I'd love to see this option for GuildWars, even if it's pre-defined skins. Just more options in interface appearance.
- UNDERGROUND MAPS Just beacause you are in a dungion, shouldn't mean your character magically forgot how to make a map. Maybe make the revealed area of the map smaller in dungions, as your character can't see as far.
- COMPASS MAP ZOOM I would love to have the option of zooming the mini compass map in and out.
- I'm sure I'll come up with more later

I must say this game is one of a kind. I love how you guys take the public into consideration. It's amazing what you guys have accomplished. I just have a few suggestions that I wanted share.
MY TWO CENTS
First of all I detest the vault. I think it takes away from the realism from the game. The idea of having a place to hold extra items is great, but it doesn't make sense that the vault keeper always have your possession regardless of where you are. Since this game allows instant travel, I suggest a vault only in the guild hall or home. It still almost just as convenient. This way it'll make more sense. Also since this game is called guild wars it'll be nice if guild was more even more important.
Guilds should be like frats. People should have to pay not only to make a guild, but to pay to get in as well. The Guild should be able to split and pocket part of that CASH!!! The rest should go back to guild wars as transaction fee. That way people can't just leave and rejoin another guild without some loses.
Quest log needs improvement. The way it is now is way too confusion. I suggest only being able to sign up for a set number of quests so you'll actually have to do commit to them before signing up for it. IT makes more sense too since no one wants to be overwhelmed with work. That way there will be more incentive to do the quest. Also it'll be nice if you guys could sort it out by area.
Guild vs Guild battle last too long. It'll be nice if people died faster. That way monks can play a more important role and it's just more excited when people die. I loved the underworld area because I love watching my careless non tankers die in like one or two hits. Why is hte elementalist standing in front? This problem will be hard to solve since all the skills would have to altered.
Going along with that I want spells to hold people back from hitting the less defensive characters. Like make a wall similar to that in the WILDS, so people cant get to the back with out taking more of an effort to hit the back. This will encourage more strategy as well.
------------
I'll really appreciate it if you guys really read this and take these things into consideration. Thanks again for making guild wars. IF you guys keep up with the many suggestion and changes, this game will definitely be the best around, better than WoW. This is how you take cash from competitors.

In-Game demo recording
In-Game Recording:
I would like to be able to make recordings with the game client so they can be played back with full visual quality. Using tools like gamecam and fraps to make a video capture of your gameplay just doesn't do it justice, requires huge amounts of disk space, and makes the game laggy. And, of course, you would use the game client to play back your recordings.
Guild History Improvements:
In the guild window, I know someone has previously posted that the history section should show more info and I second that, but I would like to add to that also. It would be nice if it would show more than just a + or a - for how much rank you gained or lost in a battle. I would suggest showing also what the new rank is, so you don't have to go back and do the math manually to see what your highest rank was.
Daytime Changes:
Also to add to another previous suggestion about showing daytime changes, it might be more immersive to have moon phases, and when in full moon to make creatures tougher or more evil in some way. Although not an original idea, linkning to the phase of the moon in the real world would be neat, even if it didn't affect gameplay.
Selling items:
When selling items it is a little disorienting to see a flat list of items to pick from. Although it's presented well, I still prefer using my own inventory setup to sell from. Especially since items look alot alike and I might have 2 or more identical swords or something. I don't like selling it and then realizing that I sold the one that was configured in a weapon group. I like to keep my items organized by location in the inventory so I don't have to examine everything that looks like a bow to see which one is the one I want to sell.
Journal, map notes, meeting place marker:
It would be nice to have a way to take notes in a journal of some sort. I know that you could run GW in a window and use notepad or something, but in game notes stored per character would make life easier. The other way to do this would be able to place tacks on the maps and attach notes to them. You could also have these tacks show up as waypoints in the compass when they are selected (maby as a different color waypoint). This would not only be a convenience, but it would allow us to manage things that GW doesn't have a built in feature for. For example, you could manually keep track of where the collectors are on the map and note what they are collecting. There could be another special tack that could be used as a meeting place marker for the party. Again this would make grouping and setting goals for the group and identifying a meeting place easier, especially if you get behind with the chat messages (sometimes we need a bio break too).
Blood
Don't know about everyone else, but I like to see blood when I'm bashing on a monster (with the option to turn it off and default to off probably). Of course, this would apply only to creatures that have blood and with weapons that cause bleeding. The more a monster/someone is damaged, the more blood. This would also give a visual cue as to weather a creature has blood and weather I can use skills that cause bleeding like gash. Also durring PvP it's nice to have this additional visual que as an aid for assisting and healing targets in addition to monitoring your team's list.
Guild
Have a way to designate who in your guild is authorized to start a GvG. This could apply only to rank GvG's, and you could let others start non-rank GvG's so everyone can still participate and have fun. Another way (as stated elsewhere) is to at least limit it to officers only. This must be managed better than it is now, because as it stands you could have a new member join your guild and right away he starts a battle, then exits making your guild lose rank against his friends guild. I know this from experience, and it really demoralizes your guild memebers and makes it even more difficult to want to look for new members (luckily it was only durring the BWE, and we were able to get everyone to relax, but the person that recruited still felt very bad and doesn't want to try recruiting anymore).

I have a few things that really annoyed me.
The mini-map (U, former P))/big map(M):
1. Please, add quest and party member symbols to these. Maybe even allies and enemies. Would make it so much better
2. Some indicators of area changing "portals" (they are only pre-searing).
I spent A WHOLE HOUR looking for Ascalon City after the academy:O
Quests:
1. Quest sorting for the quest log, and ability to temporary pause a quest (putting it in a seperate category). Quest sorting could be reward, area, age, etc.
2. Show collector info in the Quest Log.
Interface/Items:
1. The vault was great, but I miss some more space in it. Maybe being able to expand it by paying?
2. Gold storage in the vault.
3. Value displayed on ALL items.
4. Lvl/Class displayed on enemies/targets.
5. Please grey out equipped weapons when selling/salvaging, so you don't click they be accident.
Gameplay/Other:
1. Rework the Death Penalty. It's too hard to get rid off, and too big.
It makes it such as once you die, you are even MORE likely to die the next time.
Try Sacred's survival bonus.
As long as you battle, you gain small amounts of a thing called Survival Bonus (most lvl 50 have around 40% or so).
This increases you chance to hit/dodge, your damage, your resistance, and your chance to find good items. But when you die, it's reset.
That's my 2 cents.

My suggestions
My suggestions - other than those I already saw
-Add the ability to copy text (Windows CTRL-C) from the chat scroll from other players. For example, someone pastes a link to a web page showing some info about an aspect of the game and I want to go look at it, I can copy and paste into my browser.
-Ability to add nicknames or a brief comment to friends name on the friend and guild screen. Info could be stored on my hard drive. I can then put a note to remind me who each friend is. For example - Add real world friend real name to note for character name or "W/N that I ran Borliss pass with my E/Mo - 28Apr05".
-Add professions to friends names on friends and guild window. Would only show active character, but you wouldn't have to ask.
-Add log out to character select screen rather than going all the way back out to password screen.
-Make the xp bar automatically disappear once a character hits lvl 20. If you can't go higher, there's no point seeing this.
-Allow players to drag item to chat field. Display name with mouseover stats for other players. Useful for the WTS in trade tab or showing items to other players.
Other suggestions made that I thought were good
-Account gold sharing through vault
-Cape toggle to allow it off when not in PvP mode
-Music in game, more sounds (footsteps and ambient noises)
-Frag count arenas like Academy (only with better team balance)
-Area names on map
-Account based map reveal with travel nodes greyed out on new chars
-Account based UI and chat settings saved
-Team member professions add to team list
-LFT/LFG Flag char can hold up
-Increase from 4 char slots
-pet/hench stance control (aggressive/defensive/follow only)
-professions shown on char select screen
-Allow delete of quest from log (removes ability for char to re-do completed portions or any of quest)
-Arrow on compass map for pings or other players selected off view.
-Add ability to break up stacked items especially into or out of vault
-Academy PvP team size balance (avoid 2 vs 4)
-"Dead" quest clearing from Log
Thanks Arenanet for making such a great game as well as taking the time to review player input!

*Account based storage of pets. Would be very nice to own every pet in the game. Would need to have a restriction on limiting the usage of pets to the appropiate level of the player. (Ie: Can't have a lvl 4 player and lvl 20 pet)
*See Elythor's Post about Pet/Henchmen Attack modes <-- Great idea
*Combine Salvage and Identification Kits to go past their normal capacity. (Ie: 2 salvage kits of 25 uses makes 1 salvage kit of 50 uses)
*Need a better way to find a team in towns, "Searching for Team Chat"?
*Would like to see a Vault in PreSearing. Since there are no decent crafters located in PreSearing, being able to transfer a half decent Weapon/Sheild would be nice to allow people to go through PreSearing easier after they have already been through it once with a previous character.
*(Some) Item Prices still need serious revamping. For example: In PreSearing a FOCUS that adds +3 energy costs 100 gold... That's insane!
*Cleanse the Quest log after the player has left PreSearing.
*More Character Slots (Figure I might as well ask)

Totally agree with the statements above!
+++Cleanse the Quest log after the player has left PreSearing.
plz, we never gonna finish them also the often mentioned "delete quest" button or whatever.
+++pets:
To have more then one pet would be a nice addition. When you find a new one you really wanna have, you first have to get rid of the old one and train the new one nearly from the start.
Problem is: When you have a high lvl character, the pet is to weak for your foes and dies permanently -> not fun
I like the new solution when the pet passes away (block all skills, also when you rez it). DP was way to harsh. Possible solution: small storage for pets (maybe depending on the lvl), and/or the pet starts with a lvl close to your's.
+++Storage storage storage:
it's really a pain in ... when the inventory is full and you'r in the middle of a mission. Still with all poutches and sacks. The "Space extending scroll" comes late in the game and is expensive. I always have to drop stuff. Also the very limited storage space (in towns) is no help. Make a variant of the Salvage kit with f.e. 50 uses for 200 gold. Saves space and you can salvage common items during missions more easely. Or maybe an "overflow storage" (with limited space)
I'm the type of player who collects stuff, but don't want to decide immediatly what I want do with it (in the middle of a hard mission). Later in town when I have time I want to sort my loots, what I keep, customize, salvage, expert salvage... it's so frustrating when I have to drop stuff or I salvage the wrong items (those I had intended to use) or used the wrong salvage kit or salvaged an item you want to identify, because you'r in a hurry and your team is pushing forward and you need storage space! Please...
+++Looking for Group:
If I'm not mistaken, in the last BWE was a icon you could add next to the R/Me17 tag... would be nice to have, because now you cant say is he willing to join? Or just standing around doing something. A small messenger like icons for your status, next to your name would be a nice addition. So everybody can see what you'r after (like "don't disturb", LFG, AFK, RPG....), also the here mentioned LFG List -> you can see the ppl in your area who are LFG with their profession and lvl.
When you join a group it would be useful when you could instantly see wich ppl in are in your group (mark them - f.e. small red glowing ball above their heads like the quest symbol)
+++(also the often mentioned) observer mode (like CS).
Than the waiting time for WaW would be fun....
+++NPC bying/selling:
It sometimes happened that I bought f.e. armor twice. Because there's no indication that you bought it (no sound, no message). You have to look in your inventory. With all the inventory spaces, ther's a chance you dont find it (don't see it) and buy it a second time. But armor etc. that cost f.e. 400 G and materials is worth nothing (20 g), when you don't need it (customized issue). Plz create a "item is bought and in your inventory" sound or message.
Thats all (for now ). hope you have time do read it all. To implement all the sugestions in this thread (ages? I think such a project will never end - hopefuly *grin*) ... have fun and continue your great work!
