Skins!
I was screwing around with skins on my forums, and came upon a neat idea for an expansion!
A-net could release a package that costs $20-$30 for creating skins and capes for your char/guild, but you still would have the in game fee's for capes etc.
Anyone think this would be neat?
I am sold

That would be nice, but I am afraid I would need quite a bit more content than just that to make it worthy of my $20-$30. That being said, it would be great to have more variety, like extra skins. I think it would be kind of cool to have these extra skins or skin creator program be unlockable by completing a quest or something, but, then again, a program where you create your own skins would add to the server load and bandwidth issues. :-( It would be nice where if they did have a skin creator, you can only submit them to a type of forum, the best ones are voted in by the public and the crappy ones are deleted for all eternity.

Paying money for cosmetic changes alone would usually cause many people to say things like "skins are usually free, Anet!" Maybe they could include it with the expansion pack, though? Because from what I hear, the expansion packs are totally optional, so why not add some more incentive to buy it?

I'd like to se Damage Skins. So that the amount of damage is reflected in the look of the character. E.g. if you're beaten close to death, you look bleeding and beat up too...
Damage skins aren't very common in games nowadays, as they're considered a bit too bloodthirsty, but they could at least implement it for the monsters.

Uh, the game name is Guild Wars . it doesn't have to be anything too graphic, but something like that would be nice... Walk into Lion's Arch with a big gash on your face..
"Oh yeah, a troll did that to me in the Maguuma. He was an hornery bastard..."
Wouldn't it also be cool if some creatures left you with scars forever? Of course, rare creatures you often fight. Maybe signifying where you've been...

Heh sorry SOT but it was very vauge in your post :-) Anyway, yes it would be nice if they added many new ascetic features in an expansion... like hundreds... I for one would like some purely ornamental add-ons for armor and weapons
