What about the people who lose connection? Or you have some moron at the helm being party leader and he starts booting folks? I try my hardest to not leave party but I have a crappy wireless connection upstairs and the router is downstairs. So 15+mins of gameplay is a godsend with GW. Frustrating as it is to loose a team mate, I can sympathize, Ive lost my fair sahre of team members go, but xp hits on disconnect is not the way to go.
On another note..I do think assigning party memebers "Kick" rights is a way to go...voting or the person who forms the group would be able to kick people.

Yes you should be able to kick mid mission, and have them replaced by a choice of a henchmen.

The poster is speaking of people who join and then remain "AFK" for the rest of the mission, gaining most of the experience you do without any work. He is simply asking for an automatic drop after a certain period of time.

I'd rather see a vote option. I just a horrible experience: a level 20 warrior (Malegent X or somesuch) was starting groups so he had fodder to get him through the Gates of Kryta mission, whereupon he'd ditch the group and go drake hunting after out-running them with sprint. This, of course, completely wrecked and demoralized the group. We tried to complete it, but various problems arose. It would have been nice to kick him and sub him with an obedient Stefan.

Yes, always a vote option. I played with a guy recently who was a great companion and he would need to afk every so often for phone calls, I need to afk sometimes to run to the store and further feed my vices... or my belly.
People drop for legit reasons sometimes or people duck out of an already-done quest when they know they're not needed so that they can do some business then meet the party later in a designated town. Happens often, people surf about.
With a vote option then it's decided by whether or not somebody is abusing the party or whether or not the party is inconvenienced by the quitter. A bunch of us were getting our butts kicked the other night and one guy kept saying, the town is close, let's map it. Let's just map it. Come on, let's map it. (we were all at -60% and way further ahead than our levels would recommend). Finally he just said "I'm mapping out, I'll see you guys in town" and he left. I couldn't grudge him for it, we were where we shouldn't have been and we were getting owned in a magnificent way.

Yes i would like the idea of Vote quick as long it work when you play with henchman aswell, i dont know about you guys but i have done missions/quests or just exploring were the henchman either lags/frezes and just hangs in the air and i end up dying and cant rez and have to jump to town (loosing exp uh!) and do the quest all over again and wasting another hour or so.
i know that loosing exp idea may be a bit crappy, but i am just fedup of people leaving for no reason, i have played in missions were people just quit coz the mission is hard or they think that we cant do it.
Not having a go at Monks but i found them to be the worst. any little trouble and they are off and coz most of us depend on a monk we endup all dying, and so on...
Anyways leave your comments, nothing will change but at least we can talk about it
