Soul Bonding
No its not a skill or anything, but something completly different. I was thinking that two characters could partake in what I call Sould Bonding. Where those two characters(and any of the other characters on that account) can share up to three skills adding to the total of 8 to make 11 skills for the character to use. I know that could be exploited quite abit, but my idea is based on that the Soul Bond can NEVER be removed(even if both of you delete all of your chars.) You also have to be in that group with that person in order to take those extra three skills slots. Yes having 3 extra skill slots can be "overpowered" but the limits would be that they take twice as long to cast and have a 50% chance of being stop'd while casting if attacked. Unlike the real owner who can cast it without being stop'd even while attacked. You'd have to go through some sort of major test of faith or something just to get this bond, but wouldn't it be worth it? While your in a party with a friend, say one guy is a warrior/necro and the other is a Ranger/Monk. The ranger could take any of the skills from the War/Nec, but the War/Nec choses which of the skills to share, as both of them could use it. The Ranger could share his tame pet(which doesn't have the interrupt, but takes 2/3's the time to cast) and therefore give the War/necro some more stopping power with his new pet. You could only share skills that are in your skill bar and just like normal you can't switch them out while in a mission. Still havn't decided wether it would be used in PvP tho since it could cause many of thet guilds to just share their skills causing super soilders where its just a dead stand still in fights.

Why would there be a need for this? The soul-bonding ingame is there: you coordinate builds with your teammates, taking along skills to complement the skills of others to form a solid team.
This would only be abused. It's just a cheap way to get three more skill slots on a character - your 'downside' to it (50% interruption, 2x casttime) means nothing to 1/4-1s casttime skills or skills you initiate before battle (maintained enchantments, long duration enchantments) - there wouldn't be a reason not to take this, just that certain skills would be less suited for it due to having to cast them at attribute level 0.
PvP is right out - adding this would make premade PvP characters obsolete (since they can't participate in PvE 'bonding' quests) and force people to go through this in order to remain competitive.

I like the idea, but personally i think theres already a shortage on places to put skills. Maybe something else could be done other then sharing skills.

I don't like the idea - but the one thing I wouldn't mind seeing is an emergency swap slot. (You can put a skill in an emergency slot in the skill menu, then during the mission/quest/whatever, ONCE, you can take it out and replace it with one skill on the skillbar. Handy if you need to pull out a res signet in an emergency situation.)

I simply want to see 2 more skill slots, sharing skills with others is kind of interesting, but one of the biggest assets to this game is its lack of dependancy on others, aside from teaming up with others you rarly need anyone for anything, which makes the game more comfortable.
I think 2 more skill slots would be cool, its alot more powerful the 2 lvls, and it give your character more power to articulate in battles then having 2 more lvls. But whatever, they oviously limited these to keep players from becoming unbalanced, a few more key skills can mean the difference between a balanced/beatable character, and a totaly uber/broken combination of skills. Like necro has a curse that adds damage to any curse or enchantment casted on that target..... what if he could cast 3 more curses on you? 3 more skills is enough for monks to use plenty of healing and protecting spells making thier warrior invincible, elementist could use 3 fire and 3 air spells along with other spells making them powerful DD and good interupters.....
In the end all of them would gain power, but some might be unbalanced. Either way, dependancy on another character for anything, expecially a perminant bond, is unacceptable. It may seem great for someone who plays with a friend or spouse, but it has to be a viable oppurtunity for everyone or it's unfair, and not everyone can find someone they can trust to "bond" with.
