Yet another list of (somewhat minor) suggestions
No real need for an introduction; title says it all really...
- Skill Window:
I always choose my skills ordered "attribute" (alphabetical just isn't practical).
But the annoying bit is: every time I reopen the skills window, it defaults back to "alphabetical"...
It would be nice if the game could remember your previous order-selection.
- Chat Window:
Firstly, same as above roughly... When I talk in guild chat, and then zone, it automatically switches to zone chat...
Secondly: ALL CAPS CHAT FILTRER = TEH WIN!!!!1
Probably not feasible, but still a nice thought when in an outpost or city... Too many "SHOUTESR!!!1!" in general to my liking...
A multiple exclamation mark chat filter would have another one of my pet peeves satisfied.
For now, the only thing left is turn the chat off altogether.
And Thirdly: (as in AO) The ability to drag items into the chatbox, displaying it's statistics for others when they click on it. This would make shopping (and verifying whether they actually have the item they're selling) easier.
And it would prevent you having to type the stats into the chatbox when you have some uber loot to sell.
- Ranger Pets:
Yet another ranger whining about his pets...
Most will probably have been adressed before, I guess.
Firstly: I would like to see the damage my pet does (like the "floating numbers" above the mob when my character does damage). Because right now I have no idea what damage my wolf does... Which in turn raises every rangers' question: "Is this pet worth keeping or not?".
Secondly: The xp bar for your pet... So to get at least a clue how far it still has to go for the next growth spurt...
Thirdly: the basic pet commands: attack, follow and stay. (or at least a window with pet auto-attack & targetting options).
Henchmen could use some AI options as well... (Alesia: Tank for party - OFF, Orion: Cast Fire Storm when target is on its last hit point - OFF,... You get the idea...)
Fourthly: Some "stable" option. Or something else that enables you to try out the other pets, without having to completely abandon your current pet.
Price it high for all I care (100 gold per level of pet to store? 1000 gold per level?).
I probably got more stuff to get off my chest, but then I figured I had typed enough already, and decided I'm gonna level up my pet some more...

Agreed on so many levels, this is the one thing that makes me cringe coming from World of Warcraft.(where you could shift click items to add them into the chat) It is much needed.

Some more stuff/suggestions/whatever...
(I try to keep to stuff that hasn't been adressed before, but I might fail)
Party list:
Would it be possible to add another category in the party list, named "escort" or something... (under "team" and "allies")
It would be nice, when doing a typical "escort" mission, to actually see the health of the people you are escorting to see how they're doing.
This should also apply to any "friendly" in your posse (like the "lost soldiers" that follow you around in the Nolani mission, or the necro pets (if they don't show already, don't know this)).
Targetting them if the need arises would also become easier.
Mini-map:
Although the ability to draw on the mini-map is truly nobel prize material, there are occasions when you want to "ignore" the artistic exploits of a particular player.
Maybe a small/tiny checkbutton next to the name in the party list, to select which party members you don't want to see the drawings of.
Chatwindow:
A timestamp function.
I'm just used to using a timestamp in my chatbox, and I kinda miss it in this game (or I kinda overlooked the option to turn it on somewhere...)

Ah, I am glad to see I am not the only one who would like this to be the case.

This would be very nice, too. Also, if they did it WoW-like, where items cannot be linked into the general channel (in this case, the All channel), thus encouraging people to keep their trades within the trade channel (for those who would rather just filter it all out)

Yep, I think this has been mentioned a lot, and would be a welcome addition. Just those three basic commands would go a long way.
