Important Game Suggestions - Please Read!
I have some suggestions which I feel must be taken into consideration in order to make the game more enjoyable and playable for all.
The game must be less restrictive in terms of exploration and movement - 'invisible walls' should not exist in the terrain. Eg: When attempting to walk over a raised land formation or into a deep lake. Invisible walls should only exist at the edge of the zone/level. To compliment this, the ability to 'jump' and 'swim' should also exist. In it's current state, the game feels far too restrictive and limited as opposed to EQ2 and WoW.
I have also heard many players complaining about repetitiveness. It seems the only thing for players to do (mainly those who have completed all quests) when venturing out of cities is to fight mobs and stumble upon the odd 'wreckage' or 'chest'. There is no incentive for players to go out and actually explore. I will also note it is very difficult for a solo player to actually go explore new territory alone without getting absolutely owned at one point or another by too many mobs. Perhaps the number of mobs loaded into the zone should change according to the number of members in your party - if any at all.
Another suggestion is to add trade skills of some sort. I know GuildWars is not an MMORPG per sé, but skills such as 'fishing' or 'mining' couldn't hurt - and would add to replayability and the overall sense of immersion which is currently lacking compared to other MMO's out there. New skills such as this would also be accepted warmly by high level players out there who currently feel they have nothing left to do. Players should be able to craft at least some items for their own use.
These are my suggestions and I feel the game would become a much better experience for players if put into action - I don't see any downside to having these extra suggestions implemented. I hope you all accept my ideas and if you do agree, please post and let them be noticed.
Thanks All

Very good ideas... Also, they could make all NPCs a bit smarter... Like the henchies, pets, and minions. They are as dumb as rocks. In fact, the rocks may be smarter. But you don't understand that to add swimming and jumping would mean a lot of work, a whole lot. They'd have to alter the engine a lot.

I agree with you also, lol. I do understand it will be a lot more work, but it would be well worth it.

Yes, it would be. I think invisible walls are one of the most annoying things about this hame. Take those out, instead, if we can't climb it, make us slide down it. That's a lot more realistic.

Aye!
I like the idea of fishing or mining... or skinning even... basically going alternative means for getting gold (But selling fish to NPCs) or materials via over methods.
Now I know for a fact some people are going to say "stfu this isn't World of Warcraft".
And you right, it isn't. However this wouldn't affect the hardcore PvP players in any way what so ever so I fail to see what the issue is...
These are great ideas... I agree with ALL of them.

i disagree. GW simply is not a MMORPG. Its not. it wasn't billed as one,and isn't trying to be one. For most games the online aspect revolves around different forms of pvp. guildwars is simply designed to be played in co-op be it online with buds or with henchies.
the "invisible walls" are fine. no we don't need to be able to jump or swim this isn't WoW or EQ2. its a different kind of game and is fine as it is.
now if this WAS a MMORPG, then sure add all that stuff cause we would e paying a monthly fee for it. as it is we aren't and yah get what yah pay for

No, but we have paid an additonal fee to access the currently content.
Really I feel to see what the issue is with change? What's wrong with adding MMORPG like elements to the game? They wouldn't require a monthly fee... why would fishing require monthly payment?
This game already has great PvP content, so why are people so scared of anything non-PvP being added to the game.
Adding jumping and swimming... ok mostly jumping would give more interesting movement options in PvP... for example jump from a cliff away from warrior to safety of water! Think of the possibilies.

Any time spent working on stuff that we don't like is time that isn't spent on useful additions within the scope of the game. I don't care about fishing and hunting and stuff, I play a fun action RPG, both for PvE and PvP.

Most like seem to like RPG elements pal... so your statement is simi-incorrect.
I love the fighting and action, but currently there nothing else to do BUT that. Would like some alternatives to constantly PvP once I've complete the PvE game.

I'm not sure these ideas warrent "Important Game Suggestions" but the ideas are pretty much harmless. You will find however that gold is pretty pointless in the game, and rightfully so. So adding other ways to get something that serves little purpose is pretty pointless. The animations alone would require a lot of work.
On the subject of walls... the game needs them. What could be helped is the minimap being a bit more clear as to where these walls are. The game is pretty much a modernized version of pacman. Pacman without walls wouldn't be Pacman.

I don't want to play 'PacMan'. And I don't want to walk 2 minutes around a cliff to get to my target that is supposedly 5 metres away - but can't because of invisible walls. I'd much rather slide down the cliff...

I know!! I'm not too sure how they would put that in either. They may just have to make an emote that runs their mouths for each speech line and have the cinematic scripting run that in perfect timing with the audio...
Course if they do that... doesnt mean we couldnt get an emote like /jabber to run our jaws!

They could add more audio speech to NPC's too. Nothing major, just a random quote whenever you click on them or something.
