Default Well...

Ok, i know this is a GW forum, and all of you will flame me, but i think they(the creators) just dont care, because they're not gettin a monthly fee profit anyways. (JK im sure they do care, but not as much, considering they have other games that do have monthly fees.

I agree with whoever said this is a horrible community. There are a bazillion 1-2 man Guilds, players SpEek Lik n00bs (yes that was on purpose), random people will come invite you to their party, and just too many assholes.

The mobs dont give much experiance, and you have to party with these assholes to get anything done.

Henchman........pure idiots these are...

Also, you dont really gain anything when you lvl up!

And why do people put PvP before PvE??? PvE should be a priority to be made the best it can be before PvP is, and GW seems to focus on PvP...

Some good things i liked are the areas, the story, basically everything except some actual gameplay.

Is it worth it to just pay the fee for WoW?

Because unlike the carebear games you're used to, PvP is not a peripheral here. It's a PvP game. Surprise!

actually it is both with a bit more weight on pve i think

we will get a better idea where the real weight is when they either give the power pvp player a UAL button (or a close approximation) or they dont

no need to get hot just wait and see where things land

You're right, there are a bunch of stupid people out there. But there are also a lot of good people, too. You might want to try to invest time in finding a good guild. Guilds usually group with each other a lot, so it might be a positive experience for you to get invited into one.

I agree, their AI isn't that great, but they seem to get better towards the end. Only thing I hate is when warrior henchmen run off and aggro. Other than the flying henchmen bug, that's the only problem I've had.

Are you saying people put emphasis on PvP, or that the game does? Personally, I don't feel there's any emphasis on either. I've done both and am content with it. But that's me. Everyone is different and people will emphasis on what they like more... or not like more...

I haven't played WoW, but I have played other online games and you'll have just as many people saying, "I hate this..." and "change that..." You can't make everyone happy. It's just a matter of what you love about the game versus what you can tolerate.

Err... You mean to stay with GW just because other people think you should?

Well there is a reject button, nobody can force their way into a party.

I recently did the "Ruins of" mission with a 4 members party that I did not see any of then asking for members and it runned like clockwork, we got it done with the bonus and only one death (a ranger that I res'd on the spot with my res sigil) and was quite profitable for me (a black dye drop).

Co-op is a mixed bag, you can end up with a experience like the one above or you end up someone that lacks the grap of tactics (like not waiting for E/Mo/Me to regain their energy pool, charge mobs) that screws up the mission.

Just because someone ask for people to join does not mean he is a good or a bad player.

I have randomly invited people, altho I find I don't have to all that much. Most of the time people are looking to do the same ascension mission as me, or in the case of regular missions, I help them out then they return the favor.

Had a PUG in the HoH today.

Now, HoH is like, the hardest place to get a good PUG going because it requires real strategy, you have to out-think (or outluck) your opponents.

Anyways the PuG consisted of 4 guild members, 3 of which were in the same guild, and the rest were random people like me.

We got all the way to the very end (we lost though, it was a sandwich like always and wlel, it happens) with that group.

We justclicked, everyone worked together, it was all good.

PuGs aren't all bad, just the fact that you can't tell who knows wtf they're doing...that's the bad part.

I'll agree with Cola, sometimes you do get a group that just works. I guess I must be lucky with my guild as most of the members have a clue and we don't usually have to PUG. But on the times I have its easy enough to weed out the 'noobs' by asking some questions before hitting that enter mission button. So you still get everyone's pet hate... the drop gamer, you know the ones. They are the ones as soon as they die, they jump out because they can't cope with a-15% to their stats. Real losers

If you can't fight your way through an area on a -60% you're not a real gamer.

Anyhow back to topic, its like all the other gripes in the game I have, we just have to learn to mentally block them so we can enjoy the 'good bits' tm.

Amen on the 60% part....happens to me QUITE often : P.
And, on the part of the drop gamer (at least, in HoH...)

There should be 2 buttons in HoH group zone - Enter mission (with party) and enter mission (without party, as in an arena). If you should hit the SECOND button, you will automatically join a group that has less than 8 players...

This helps teams who lose one or two players not just because they were "Noobs", but also those players who, unfortunatly, had to go for ligitimate reasons.

Gimme your feedback.
