The Genral idea is,
1- I fought my mirror today, the game said kill him under 50sec for bonus. the problem is i have killed him in 6 seconds, and still dont know if ive recived the bonus. so how about putting a shield, and two swords on augury trials rock. (main center rock) first sword for killing the mirror, second if you pass on killing him in the amount of bonus time it requests. and the shield just highlights up when you enter that area. and ya dont really need a reward, just a message displaying congratulations.. and showing the shield and sword thing for completion.
2- Idea of Skills, signet.. My friend surgested a Wild Card signet. which when used in battle it would randomly pick a skill from your profession tree, which can be used at the cost of 0 energy. The Downfall, to having the signet is all other skills equiped take twice as long to rechange. and mimic signet can only be used once per mission, since it takes ownership of the new skill choosen from your profession tree. (so theoretically its like as if you equiped a normal skill before you went into battle, except it picks a skill at random when you are in battle)
Another type of signet, He also thought of was a Mimic signet. Simular to Capture signet except you can only posess, (your profession skill types) from a monster of the same profession type as you, for 10sec, or X amount of time, before mimic skill depleates usage of that accuired skill. Downfall is that any accuired skills costs +25% extra energy to cast.
3- construct, a secret place or mission level that can only be found by completing all the bonus quests in missions. My friend said you could cross layer bonus quests by accuiring and item, a pointless item in a mission that doesnt do anything for that mission or bonus. but infact has to be taken to a future bonus quest in order to complete. anyways back to the main question, making a special hidden mission when all bonus quests have been completed. abit like diablo 2 cow level, except probably a big fight against gwen and all her childish toys. or something.. i dunno but you get what im on about hopefully. Or maybe an alternate ending or something..
4- Most of the guild wars pets are related to attacking, it would be useful to have cretain types of pets bond to different kinds of skills for the ranger.
And also different types of pets all together, Meaning not just pets primely focusing on just attacking.
You could have a phonix pet, its weak, low health points of eg. lv20=120HP, two hits and its dead. It attacks with minor damaging fireballs (that dont do hardly any damage at all. say 4-6dmg) but its main strengths is that it can heal minor amounts of hp to players and its major strength revive a fallen player at random, this ability can only be preformed once as it kills the phonix pet after it gives its soul to a random player. (but can not be revived, if it gave its soul to a player)
You could have other pets too.. like a snake kinda pet, it gives the ranger within certain area, extra bonus on posion length, and speed to players movement. the snake is fast moving, but has slow archer attack. and its hp is mid range, and its dmg is not so great. the snake tries to avoid battle by lingering at the back of the party. its purpose isnt attacking but to give its master some battle support with an aura.
*A necro pet, named the fallen. this pet has no hp instead it stays summoned for 10seconds. its attack are minor, but offers +1 extra point towards the necros regeneration of skills such as wells. and whatever other healing skills they have. and boosts life of all other summoned pets by 25%, so all those summoned pets you make from corpses last abit longer. after 10seconds it dies. (taking -25% hp from all ya minons) of course this pet can only be made by certain types of dead corpses. and a maxium of 1 can be summoned in play at anyone time. (this pet is more of a supporter to its fellow pet companions. yet still gives its master a small helping bonus with regeneration. This pet would be helping in big battles against many monsters.
It would be nice to have a couple of pets that arnt all suicidal pets that just love attacking, i hate wasting a skill slot on a pet that runs in and just dies in seconds, knowing i have to sit and wait for my skills to recharge, it be nice if there were pets that reflect upon different kinds of elements to the game. Eg: Attacking, (which you have) Offering a small bonus, Light healing pet, (like phonix) other pet which gives a bonus to just traps..
Pets that all attack, just suck, sorry but they do.. Plus you could balance it out by just giving necros a chance to also summon different kinds on pets too.. just with an extra amount of hp.. since they die quicker then ranger pets.
5- Adding another filter to the messaging system. this time whisper messages.. i usually uncheck local, guild, trade, and emotions. but ive found that i dont recive private messages from my friends. it be nice to fit this under its own filter. that way if i left it checked i can still recive there messages.
I'm just going to update this one thread with new things i think of, thus saves spamming the board with new threads..
Ok, go ahead reply.. with your ideas..

The thing about the game signifying if you got the bonus sounds like a good idea...
I am not so sure about the "random signet"
Some secret places would be nice. Make playing through the game more worthwile

First of all... how do we know there arent secret area's... they could have made it very difficult to do/figure out... and it could still be in hiding... meh, just a thought
Second... a random signet i wouldnt like the idea of...
Third of all... different types of pets would be the bomb!... really... it would... and beast mastery raises w/e its "different" ability is

Makarei: If you're responding to perishiko, something being "the bomb" is a good thing.
